    It won't die. Thanks to Ancestry DNA, I discovered I'm 40% Nigerian. I'm in the process of learning Igbo. I know a few words.

    Sweet!
    I do believe that breaking up the words & explaining them individually/singularly, also helps as well; it helps the learner use the words to make other sentences.
    E.g. Gini kaa i na-eme? = Gini (What) kaa (are) i (you) na-eme (doing)? (Something like that).
    Well done, guys...much love!!

    This is nice. But there's need to improve in the written igbo. For example; you need to know when "na" is working as verb and adverbs. Ya bu, mgbe "na" na-aru oru di ka "mgwaa" ma o bu " nnyemaka ngwaa " (na, na-, n'. ). Good job altogether 👍👍👍❤

    Nothing like ke ki i choro.. What we have is kedu nke ichoro. Igbo is divided into spoken Igbo and written Igbo. The first one is a spoken Igbo and not accepted in written Igbo. We call it spoken Igbo because the sound and pitch was in total consideration when you write the letters

    • @johnchidozie4870
      @johnchidozie4870 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's contraption. 'Ke nke ichoro' yes is spoken, but isn't wrong. Same way use English contraptions in speaking but write in full...

      Hahaha. Chose the one that fits you. There are many dialects in Igbo. However, Gini k'ichoro is the central Igbo (note, the average Igbo will say central Igbo is invented Igbo and nobody's language, just official Igbo created recently from the universities to unify the Igbo language)
      My dialect will be, nini k'ichoro (owerri)

      @@OkwuID That's the literal translation and may not make much sense in real terms. A typical Igbo will refer to a beautiful queen as, Asa mma, Ada mma, Omalicha, or simply, Asa, with some stress between the "a"and "s". As well as, some tonal inflections to further highlight his feelings.
