I had a pretty terrifying thing happen to me when I was fly fishing out in a remote stream in the ozarks. Like you I'm still not sure exactly what I saw. All I know is that I will never be able to run faster through the woods with a fly rod and waiders on than I did that day.

Thank you. You are such a credible witness and you would have been great in Finding Bigfoot. I live in southern Indiana and had some experiences. Bigfoot is kept a secret and I guess that’s the way it should be. That is why we have national parks, forests and areas across the US designated as wildlife refuges
I guess the creatures do their best to stay away from humans and have the right to live and do their thing in peace.

I was camping in the ridge country of Indiana and I left a nice pot of kraut, potatoes, and sausage on the table near freezing that night. In the morning I found the clean kettle 50' into the woods, but the lid neatly left on the table as if placed by a dexterous hand.
Proud to have cooked such a treat for him/them.

Makes you feel crazy man but I swear you ain't the only one. Whatever my buddy & I encountered scared the hell outta us. It was at night & it stayed in the dark, thick stuff, acting like a gorilla throwing a tantrum. It chased us all the way out of the woods & back to the trailhead where we parked my truck. Was in the Sumter National Forest, here in SC. We seriously thought we were going to die, no joke. I know the area better these days & feel like I know where to stay away from but I still worry about it. Always armed now & heavily armed when staying out overnight. Cool story, thanks for sharing it. Be safe out there 👍

Same guy enountered another one throwing rocks and sticks, 10 miles away another friend has them on their minnisota property and his brother has had 5 encounters. Came across this quote from a lady who has a channel that recounts stories of Sasquatch encounters, ‘Absence of proof is not proof of absence.’
Lots of people in the scientific world mock these accounts from hundreds, possibly thousands of people
who have had these experiences. Apparently, both the US and Canadian governments have sufficient proof that they exist but think it’s best to not acknowledge it for obvious reasons. Lots of Sasquatch researchers have come to this conclusion.

    Aloha Matt,
    My name is Chris Miranda.
Thank you for sharing your encounter. I’ve had multiple Sasquatch encounters that changed my life as well.
I totally get that uneasy feeling you get in the woods after you’ve encountered these creatures/beings. You can’t do anything outdoors anymore without being on guard. It got so bad for me that I stopped a lot of my outdoor activities after my encounters. Mostly the overnight activities.
    Here’s why:
I seen a 9 foot tall Sasquatch while I was hitting rocks with an aluminum bat. My best friends little brother was tossing the rocks. Every time I hit the rocks they made a loud “ping” noise from impacting the bat and as they flew through the air they made a “whizzing” noise. Very cool sounding and I suspect that’s what brought the Sasquatch in to see what was going on.
I was 15 and I believe he was around 12-13. Both of us seen it.
After it left where we were it went to my friends neighbors house. It destroyed their chicken coupe then killed and took all of their chickens.
    We heard the commotion.
When I was 16 I seen a Sasquatch family. The large male of the group was screaming/yelling at me while trying to rip out a large Juniper Tree. A large female was escorting a smaller Sasquatch away from where I was.
The smaller Sasquatch was injured and the large male was doing a damn good job of distracting me while the other two were trying to get away.
The only reason I seen the other two was due to the fact that the male was making these fast glances towards them and I picked up on that then looked where he was looking.
I agree that you should check out Steve Isdahl here on TH-cam @ The Facts By Howtohunt.com
Steve is a well known professional hunting/fishing guide who lives in Canada. He’s had multiple encounters himself and is a standup no bullshit kind of guy.
His site is a safe place to email your Sasquatch siting(s) without the risk of ridicule.

Hey Matt, Searcher here, Thanks for sharing your experience, your not alone, but not everyone has the guts to share their story for fear of Ridicule, I'm 74 years old and been out in the bush all my life . 6 years ago I saw one while I was out at my hunting camp, it was 50 yards from me and there was no doubt in my mind , I knew what I was looking at. I don't know how you feel but it kinda changed my way of thinking, and the way I feel when I'm out in the bush. I'm not as comfortable as before knowing that these things are out there. but I never talked about it to anyone except places like this to get it off my chest. I get my satisfaction when I hear people discussing bigfoot, The big question, are they Real, is it BS , I like you Matt know the answer to that queston.

I live in NH now but had a sighting of my own in Iowa... Little Turkey Creek area. My dad was there with me and a week later, he handed me a news paper, where 30+ people all witnessed the same thing... A huge/massive hair covered bi-pedal creature, moved towards the Greyhound bus where everyone was. The driver and the passengers moved away from the bus as fast as they could. There was damage to the bus afterwards but nothing of value was taken.

My father and a coworker saw one in the woods in New Brunswick years ago. It was long before the term Bigfoot ever made it to our area. He described it as a Bear with a face like a man that walked on its hind legs. They surprised it on a woods road and as far as they could see it going through the woods it never went down on all fours. Dad had always been a woodsman, but after that he was very cautious of going into the woods after supper time.

i'm from north central maine, back in the 80's a friend of mine and myself were walking back to my house, he was a high school friend spending the weekend at my house, it was close to midnite, it was fogging, the road was alongside a river, as we were walking, we heard something walking towards us, the road was paved, it sounding like really big bare feet slapping down on the road, just ahead of us was a street light on the corner of an intersection , we both said out loud,, what the hell is that, whatever was walking heard us and stopped, we had stopped, the fog had created a halo effect around the street light, just on the edge of the lights perimeter we both saw the outline of something really tall and wide just standing there, we freaked and ran down the intersecting road and walked the 5 mile long way around to my home, the next day, he called his mom and demanded her to come pick him up, he never came to my house again, we never talked about it after either, after he went back home, i walked back to the spot from the night before, as i walked along the riverbank, i saw giant foot prints along the edge heading straight into the water, this section of the river has several islands in the middle, i'm betting that it swam to 1 of them, i've never forgotten that night, i know for a fact that bigfoot is real

Welcome to the club buddy. Thanks for sharing your encounter. I had mine in North Missouri while bow hunting. Mid October 2006. I stumbled upon in the dark. I came around a blind corner. I think it was focused on a deer and didn’t see me until i was right up on it. I could see the deers tail jump to the right and heard the Bigfoot jumped backwards into some woods. When it did it stepped on some downed limbs. I could tell it was a padded foot and it was heavy. All that registered but i was replaying my hunt and didn’t think much of it until a few seconds later when it started following me step for step. That’s when all the info started processing. Anyway it’s a lot to type. I’ll leave it at that. Again welcome aboard.

But after about an hour of calming down and processing it all I found comfort in knowing at any point it could have snatched the life out of me but didn’t. My bow was left in the tree. I had nothing on me but a video camera. Not knowing it was a Bigfoot following me, I charged at it twice with my arms up acting crazy trying to scare it off. My thought was i was being stalked by a mountain lion. Because of the weight and padded foot I heard when it jumped into the woods. I had no idea what it was until I got on my 4wheeler and turned it around. That’s when I saw it standing next to cedar tree looking at me. It had eye shine like animals do. I wasn’t a believer prior to that night. In fact I was ok with the idea of them not being real because of how much time I spend in the woods.

1988 Working for the USDA Soil Conservation Service. Newlywed. Got transferred from NW MO to SE MO Ste. Genevieve County (we did not want to go) NW MO Counties platted on a grid Section Township Range. SE MO were based on Spanish Surveys. No rhyme or reason to them. Lots of heavy timber & hills. Lots of private lanes & locked gates. One beautiful September afternoon, no wind, quiet, not a cloud in the sky. About 62 degrees outside. Went out to check a 12-acre CRP seeding. One little field 1/2 - 3/4 mile off main road. Locked gate. Parked Gov PU on the shoulder. Started walking down a narrow-wooded lane (descending) Got to field. Surrounded by timber. Walked across to opposite side. Just me, my clip board, CRP seeding form. Seeding looked good. Brome, Timmothy, Red Clover mix. I'm knelt down inspecting it. I hear this alarming Deep Guttural Growell. From the side of field I'd entered on. Got my immediate undivided attention. OH SHIT! This is real, and you're in the moment. Something just inside the tree line was moving. Sounded like a truck going through the brush. Huge racket. You could track it. Twenty-five-foot tall treetops were shaking. It was moving away from the lane I'd entered the field from. (Thank God) I started walking back across the field. Watching the trees, hearing the underbrush. When it stopped, I took off (ascending) up the lane as fast as I could. In the end, I didn't see anything. Didn't want to see anything. Didn't feel comfortable till I got to the truck. They say SE MO has black bears. I never saw any bears. Can a bear shake 25 ft. tall treetops? I don't know. But something damn sure was. Something big. 27.5 year career. I've encountered two 80-100 lb. Cougars. (yes Missouri has them) I was rattled at 3 times (you know exactly what it is) But I never encountered anything remotely close to whatever was inside the tree line in Ste. Genevieve County that September afternoon. Yes, there has been multiple bigfoot sightings in and around Ste Genevieve, MO (I didn't know that at the time)
Got promoted and transferred back home (NW MO) within 6 months of that incident.

1974 my family encountered a bigfoot at Shasta Lake while sleeping in the RV. 11pm, I heard it walk by, like in 2 steps. I heard the footfalls. I was too late to see it walk by. My dad was a LA Reserve Sherriff.
He said it as it passed the front of the RV. 4 or 5 ft wide shoulders. Walked under the security light on the RV path.
It barely made it without hitting it's head on the bulb. Strolled by with no worries.

Night fishing for Walleye in the Reno Bottoms between Genoa WI and Houston County MN I had an encounter with something huge I started to hear trees snapping and falling into the water I am very skeptical and didn’t believe in Sasquatch at the time but 10 minutes later I heard this very deep guttural growling from less then 100ft away you could feel it in your chest it made every hair on my body stand on end I instantly knew it was time to go the worse part was driving out the road was was flooded with deep ruts and holes in some spots I couldn’t just floor it and fly out or I would risk getting stuck or fucking up my truck so I had to carefully work my way out at 5-10mph knowing that whatever was growling at me could easily pull me from my truck and rip my limbs off I have no explanation for what it was but went back the next day and I found the snapped trees they were about 300 ft from where I was fishing in a shallow heavily wooded slough area that’s full of poison Ivy I know that no human could cover that much distance that fast in such a treacherous swampy area by foot especially at night and the trees what person has strength to snap large trees like twigs I don’t ever go fishing without a firearm anymore and I believe there is something big and terrifying roaming the swampy backwaters and bluffs along the Mississippi River

There's no way all these stories have all these similarities by coincidence. The tree snapping/guttural growl that you can also feel are staples of sasquatch encounters. These things are seen in Asia, S America, Australia, and pretty much all over the world.

I grew up spending my winters in Northeast Iowa and my summers in West Central Alabama...both locations extremely rural. I can truthfully attest to the existence of those beings in the woods. I've only seen one up close once, but I've had too many non visual encounters to list.
The close encounter was stalk hunting deer with my cousin. I had a rifle, he had a shotgun. When this 10ft tall reddish black bipedal thing came striding down a treeline less than 30 yards from us. The first thing that hit us was the stench of rotten meat mixed with skunk and sewage. Then a wave of paralyzing fear hit both of us that made us forget we even had guns in our hands. We ran for nearly 2 miles jumping creeks, barb wire fences, and thick scrub to get out of that pine forrest.
The BFRO is a joke for the most part. Best to avoid them.

Late one October when I was in my twenties, I decided to spend a weekend alone in the Northeast Georgia Mountains fishing and hiking. Early one Saturday morning I dove up to a beautiful area I know in White county. It is a really remote, rugged, and beautiful area. Miles away from anything, I turned off of a little county road onto a dirt road and traveled a number of miles more. Then, I took an old road that is not maintained several miles further up into a remote wilderness area. It is a rough ride and very inaccessible.
Its isolation makes it one of the best places for me to experience solitude and enjoy God’s wonderful creation. I spent most of the day trout fishing along a peaceful stream that meanders through a heavily forested area. I didn't have much luck catching fish, but I loved just being in the mountains. Few people ever come into this area -- even during the peak of the summer season. I hadn’t seen a soul for many miles before turning off of the county road and that was just fine with me.
It was a very crisp day with a beautiful deep azure blue sky marked by a few billowy clouds. There was a gentle breeze that wafted the smells of the forest through the air. I could smell the aroma of the pine straw on the banks of the creek warming in the sunlight melded with an earthy scent of moss flanking nearby of trees. This blended with the gentle sounds of the gurgling creek and the birds cheerful singing made for a perfect day.
Late in the afternoon I returned to my jeep and drove to a nearby grassy meadow and parked on the far side. I stowed my fishing gear and gathered my pack and supplies. I bushwhacked my way about two-thirds of the way up the mountain and found a level spot with a good view and pitched my tent there. I built a nice fire and enjoyed a simple meal. With the setting of the sun the chill in the air grew and I stoked the fire.
I watched the twinkling of the stars emerge as they illuminated the night sky. I could clearly see the Milky Way and was mesmerized. I heard the mournful call of a screech owl in the distance. My mind began to wander to my childhood and I remembered hearing my grandfather talk about owls being an omen of death. I could almost hear his voice recanting the time years earlier when he sat up all night with the daughter of a neighbor who was gravely ill. He said that there was a screech owl in the yard calling all night, almost as if it was beckoning to the girl. He was startled when at one point it actually flew into the window and seemed to wrestle with the screen trying to enter the room. He had to yell and swat the screen with a paper to get it to leave. The poor little girl did not live until the morning.
I was roused from this remembrance, when suddenly I felt something drop to my face. I instinctively swatted and large granddaddy long legs landed near the fire and scampered away. This was repeated several more times until I realized that there were many of these spiders in a large nearby tree and apparently the warmth of my campfire had spurred them to move. I repositioned myself away from the spiders and watched the hypnotic flames dancing above the embers as their intensity ebbed and flowed until the sometime later the fire slowly dwindled away.
I climbed into the tent and eased into my sleeping bag. It felt good to relax and I was tired from the events of the day. The sounds of the night were still and I quickly drifted to sleep. A few hours later, I was suddenly jarred awake. I struggled to clear my mind and get my bearings. I wasn’t sure why I was awakened, but my muscles were tense and my breathing was quick and shallow. Then I heard it. It was a distant, but surreal sound. At first I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming, but quickly realized I was awake. I struggled to make sense of what I had heard.
It seemed to come from up the mountain above where I was camped. I wasn’t sure of how far away it was, but it clearly was not close by. Then I heard it again and it sounded a little bit closer. The hair stood up on my neck and my arms were peppered with goose bumps. It was very a very strange sound. I can’t describe it adequately in words. I have never heard anything like of before or since. It was like a combination of something akin to a loud guttural growl rising in pitch until it was mixed with a scream. It lasted 4 or 5 seconds each time. But that doesn’t even begin to describe it. I reached over and upholstered my .357 magnum revolver that was beside me. I remembered thinking that it wasn't enough gun to match whatever was making those sounds.
I heard it again clearly closer to camp and by my reckoning it was moving toward my camp fast. My mind raced. I quickly evaluated options. Should I exit the tent with a flashlight? Should I stay put? Then I heard it again and it was close. I had a flashback to another time as a kid listening some men at my uncle’s farm in rural South Georgia talking about seeing a panther and hearing it make a sound like a woman screaming. For a split second, I wondered if that was what I was hearing. But I as able to quickly rule it out.
It was probably within 50 yards of camp and the sound I heard was not human, but it didn’t seem to be of this earth, either. I sat up and gripped my gun with both hands bracing for some creature to come slicing through the walls of my tent. Time seemed to move slowly and every sound and movement was amplified and intensified. After what seemed like an eternity I heard it again; but, moving away from camp and further down the mountain. I heard it another time or two as it faded away into the distance. It took me over an hour to get back to sleep.
In the morning, I woke early and had my standard backpacking breakfast of coffee accompanied by trail mix. Before breaking camp I spent an hour or so hiking where I thought that I had heard the sounds. I never found any animal tracks or evidence of any sort. I spent the remainder of that day fishing and returned home late in the evening.
I have thought about that many times since. I have also been back to that area a number of times and never heard that same eerie sound again. I basically grew up in the woods and have been in many remote areas in the Southeast U.S., Western U.S. and in Alaska. I have heard and seen just about every animal that lives in the woods and nothing sounds like this did. Some folks have speculated that it was a bobcat, but I’ve heard them many times and this sound was very different. It was a deep guttural growl combined with a roar that crescendoed into a high octave howl and scream. My skin still crawls when I replay that sound in my mind. I have also scoured the Internet listening to every conceivable animal and I have not found anything that sounds even remotely like it. I don’t guess I won’t ever know what it was.

My buddy and I was deer hunting in an area that has a R/R track and we used it to get from one area to another. The thing is if you ever walked tracks before you know the RR ties are spaced a little too close to walk on comfortably and if you step on every other one the step is a little long and is uncomfortable too and you would kick rocks sometimes and thats not good for deer hunting. We would walk the rail in sneakers and was super quiet and got so good at it we could walk it in the pitch black darkness. One night we was walking back together and my buddy was on one side and I was on the other going home and we hit a stretch where both sides had a 25ft tall cliff....we were being absolutely quiet and both of us heard 2 very loud breaths come out of some kind of animal on top of this cliff. We could not see what it was but you could feel its presence.
To this day I always have an uneasy feeling when I'm in that area walking in the dark to deer hunt. Needless to say but we picked the pace up.

Was 8 years old and living in an area of Germantown, Wisconsin that was under new development back in 1978. I think there were only about a dozen or so homes that had been built in the sub-division so it was still very much cattle pasture and wooded areas around our new home. We would see all kinds of wildlife on a regular basis around there. But I'll never forget this day ever. It was late afternoon roughly 4:15pm or so and still had a good bit of daylight for early October in Wisconsin. A close friend and myself decided that we were going to go exploring the creek bed that ran across the street and into a small wooded area just past a cattle pasture which was located just west of our homes to look for crayfish for fish bait. We didn't get too far into the wooded area maybe 60 yards or so when my friend and I both heard a deep loud growl/grunt come from behind a tree about 30 yards ahead of us on the creek bed. It was a huge old oak tree that had been knocked down across the creek bed - roots and all! At first we both thought bear but then it stood up and peered out from behind that tree. At that moment we knew exactly what it was (definitely not a bear!!!) I dropped that crayfish bucket and we ran so fast back home that it took us several minutes of what seemed to be a lifetime before we could both catch our breath and even begin to try and talk about it. Both of us immediately told our parents what we had seen but none of them believed us at all. My friend told me his dad gave him a whooping for telling lies which made me feel bad for him because we both know what we saw. I just got a stern talking to. Either way Ray and I never went anywhere close to that wooded area again while living there that I can recall... not even to retrieve the bait bucket that I dropped. Thank God my family and I moved about two years later to Florida. I hated living there and felt very uneasy being outside by myself after that incident.

Thank you for sharing your story! My first sighting was in Canyon City Oregon in 1976 , late summer and evening. Reddish brown hair, maybe 6 feet tall, standing on the hill across the street from my house. I thought it was a woman at first but then noticed that the entire silhouette was covered in hair, back lit by the setting sun. I've seen another one on the same hill on the other side of it in 2017. Seen one camping with my ex wife at Boiling Springs Campground in Idaho. It was on all 4's then walked back and forth a couple of times. Thought it was a bear. I could see it near the edge of the parking area and where the pay station and toilets were. Through the trees was a trail and an almost full moon. It appeared to be a black bear. Then it walked by on two legs. Then around the third time it stopped and was swaying back and forth. Disappearing in the darkness on each side of the trail. The firelight helped. That lasted 15-20 minutes. 10/31/2009 The following year 11/01/2010 We were sitting around the campfire at the same location. I had started to feel uneasy, the fear, dread, and anxiety. I felt something was wrong and lied to my wife at the time, that I was cold from hunting most of the morning and it was wet snow and raining. I couldn't tell her that I was freaking out. We were loading up the supplies after she agreed to go home. 10:30pm or so and we are at the car. When from the next campsite over 30 feet away from us was this sound of a boulder being slammed to the ground and hard enough to feel the impact. She got the cooler and I balled up the tent and stuffed it in the trunk. Scared shitless, we drove around and saw nothing or no one else. Both times we were the only campers out there. Another time in August of 2016 about 6 miles south we camped off a trail. I heard a buck snort and a rock hit 2 trees and landed in the river below about 100 yards. Yeah, deer don't throw rocks. Willow Creek Campground in Idaho, we heard wood knocks from 3 different directions from the mountain sides at 2:30 am approximately. The following August camping there again, at 11pm I was walking to my campsite in the dark from the restroom. A rock hit a tree 10 feet to my right. About 5 1/2 feet up about my head height. I turned on my headlamp but no one was around and it was silent. I get back to our campsite and asked if anyone was pranking me? Just to check. They said they had been sitting next to the fire the whole time. Heard wood knocks 6 miles from Bogus Basin Ski Area near Boise Idaho. Tree knock in Garden Valley area Idaho. Tracks here in John Day Oregon where I live. Also back in 1976 seen some coming back from Eugene Oregon. Paralleled and followed at 2:30am in Winterport Maine, February 1989. Partial full moon. Taking a short cut down the railroad tracks. It walked and stopped the same time I did. Bi-pedal sounding. Didn't see it in the trees. I've been paralleled once hunting in the Alton Bog Maine. Those Sasquatch's have hundreds of names and live world wide. Thank you again for sharing your experience and you're not crazy and it sounds to me like you saw a Bigfoot. My favorite place in the world to fish is Alaska! So many diverse freshwater species to catch and eat. Then the awesome saltwater fishing is also phenomenal! Just my opinion. Take care and Have a wonderful, exciting, adventurous, happy, and healthy New Year!

I saw my footprints in southern Oregon. Applegate to be specific. They are real. The prints were in the middle of nowhere. But they were huge and perfect. No ambiguity at all of being anything but human prints. If someone was trying to hoax the prints I saw, then they would have put them somewhere that would be easy to find. I tracked them for a couple of hundred feet until they disappeared into a rock field. I didn't see anything other than the prints that time. But I did get a glimpse of a creature later on that year as I was riding on my school bus home. It was huge and a little darker than an orangutan. But it was just a glimpse. Just saw it from the back.

One time at a family reunion my wife’s cousin happened to attend. He is a big man who has done a lot of bow hunting and actually competed and won many competitions. He was sorta socially awkward, but a nice guy and not a jokester type. I took a chance and asked him if he had ever seen a Bigfoot. I was shocked when he calmly told me that he did once while approaching a secluded fishing spot under a bridge in Texas. He said it was on the other side of the river on the bank with it’s hands in the water. They both spotted each other at the same time. It stood up and casually strolled up a steep incline. He ran away leaving all of his equipment behind. This man doesn’t joke around, and had a serious look on his face. That’s all he said.

I saw one with my friend when I was about 12 years old. It was walking across an empty corn field after the corn was cut down, broad daylight. I didn't even see it at first. My friend had to tell me to look at it twice before I knew I was looking at something out of the ordinary. When I saw the proportion of head to body ratio with no neck then the VERY long arms hanging past the knees my stomach sank to my knees. It was extremely threatening looking and it ruined me going into the woods for the rest of my life. I will not go in without another male and without being heavily armed. I know for a fact our government knows about them. The amount of people and children that have been taken by these things is very anger some to me. They should be warning people about them but of course they are ignorant and are more concerned with keeping their secrets than protecting people. The thing that really gets my goat is I would have been oblivious to it had it not been for my friend. Seriously...

I grew up in the mountains so was used to seeing all sorts of animals including big predators, minus wolves at that time (mid 80’s). This Sasquatch was an older juvenile male. He’s since been around me my whole life. He’s saved me a few other times too. Also scared the crap out of me many times. They are HUGE! And fast and strong and even though I KNOW they exist….I still can’t believe they exist….it’s mind blowing. It’s more mind blowing people have been trying to keep it under wraps for so long. If you haven't seen any How to Hunt videos, I recommend you check them out. They are made by Steve Isdal, a hunting guide, and he is trying to make it acceptable for people to report their Bigfoot sightings without ridicule. He has had several sightings himself, and like many witnesses, he doesn't want to see them again, but he still spends a lot of the time in the woods, mostly hunting and fishing for himself. BFRO wants people to believe Bigfoot are apes, but there is a lot of evidence that they are an unknown hominid, and they carry human DNA in them. Keep researching, there is a lot to learn about them, if you're that interested.

He's a professional hunting guy that spends 200-250 days a year in the woods. I listen to a lot of Steve stuff. The other day he posted one in the railroad workers in Canada contractors. Show the Bigfoot tracks in the snow on the road. The railroad worker put his foot in the snow with the boot on beside it it looked like a child's foot beside this thing. Or how about the expedition do Mount Everest in the 1950s by scientists or explorers whatever you call them. And lo and behold they sent back pictures of humanoid footprints at 15,000 ft base camp. They put their ice pick there for comparison. And the service said it is a abominable snowman excuse me yeti. People believe them then because they were explored. The video is on TH-cam. Most of us live in our cities and our small towns or whatever. I don't think very many of us realize how big the forests in Canada and Russia are. I live in Mississippi I believe there's parts of this state that haven't been explored. It looks like a giant pine Forest. Also I have a buddy who lives in Oklahoma he's an Indian lives on a reservation drove semi for 30 years. Jimmy said there's a place in southeast Oklahoma that is very rugged rocks lots and lots of snakes Rattlers. Jimmy has stated to me more than once he believes there's valleys no person's been in. Right in the middle of the USA. Steve from howtohunt.com says he has more than 15,000 emails from all walks of life all over the world. Yeah I believe the world's like the ocean a lot of it hasn't been explored.

What you saw Matt was a Bigfoot. There are different characteristics of them. They have their own “tribe” group. It’s NEVER 1 just wandering they have up to 5 the most keeping a watch from a distance because the juveniles tend to explore and play until they unexpectedly encounter humans like us. The woods are their domain and we should respect that. Thank god that creature didn’t tempt to approach you as some do if your close to their nests. Thank you for sharing because people must know especially going camping and hiking leading to missing persons or children, people must be aware and know their surroundings. Never’ wander alone.

My mind was trying to say it was a big ass bear but there was no way, the thing was every bit of eight feet tall and four foot wide at the shoulders and looked more human. Our eyes was locked the whole while it slowly walked away on two legs, crossed a deep creek and disappeared in a overgrown field. I couldn't move a muscle the whole time.

I had an encounter in 93. I was deer hunting in the Savage River State Forest in Western Maryland. The ground was covered with snow and the moon was nearly full. Visibility was great. It was dark and I was camping when in the middle of things. I had a fire going and was drinking hot tea and reading a book. I heard something moving around me and casually looked around but saw nothing. The noise persisted and a horrible smell blew threw. It smelled like a dead deer that was in the summer sun for a couple weeks. I also felt like I was being watched. I got up and flashlight in one hand and rifle in the other I scanned the woods around me. I heard a whoop. This zeroed me into where the sound of walking was coming from. My hearing is really bad due to extreme exposure to gun fire while in the army. So the sound of walking blended with the wind. The whoop though that I could track. I shined my light in that direction and saw something at least 8 feet tall. Hairy, longish arms, very muscular. Scared the crap out of me. I brought my rifle to shoulder and looked at it through the scope. I could see it from the moonlight and snow covered ground. It threw a rock at me. It nearly hit my head. It was a grapefruit sized rock. I shot my 300 Winchester Magnum into the tree it was standing by and this caused it to run away. It ran very fast through the woods. I went back to camp and sat and listened for a good hour. I eventually started reading again until 2 or 3 in the morning. I hadn't heard anything after it ran away. I built the fire up and went into my tent got in my sleeping bag and slept lightly for a few hours. Everytime I woke up I'd listen for a bit before going back to sleep. When morning came I packed up and left the area. I've never hunted there again.

I'm from Oklahoma. I used to live in West Tulsa right next to the levee for the Arkansas River and 50th Street west. Those familiar with this area will remember the oil pump that would release excess fuel with a flame. Anyway, I lived right next to it (the pump), and it was on a dead end road near this grocery store on 49th st. West. The levee was on the other side of the pump. My wife and I were sitting on our back porch one night having a smoke. There was an abandoned center block structure in the property behind the pump, it was next to our back yard. We saw a creature crouched down to our left about 100 to 150 feet. It was about 10:30 p.m. It looked like a bear. About the time we noticed it, it started moving towards us. It was kind of grumbling or growling...almost a very primal low pitched roar. As it was moving towards us, it was growing or getting bigger. Like it was going from a squat to a standing and lunging motion. We got the message LOUD and very clear! (This is my domain, get the Fudge out of my sight right now)!! My wife did a literal back flip through our screen door into the house! I had to stand up, turn and run back into the house. I slammed the doors and asked her how the hell did she get into the house without opening the door?. We were both scared and hoping that it wouldn't smash through our back door. I thought it could have been either a bear, a guy in a guilley suit, or a big pissed off dirty hairy bum in a guilly suit, or BIGFOOT. I believe,as my wife also, believe this was a bigfoot. I believe it walks the rivers and creeks. I think we caught him eating something in my backyard that he caught in the river/levee system near my house.

I can't say I saw anything, but on our first trip down the Manistee river, my son, brother-in-law, and his son had an interesting experience. On the way to the drop off, I had asked our driver what we could expect for size on fish above the Tippy Dam. I was told that the bigger fish were limited to the dam to lake Michigan, periodically nice size Northerns and walleyes, but other than that, rainbows, browns and brookies. I was feeling off that first night, and decided to rack out early. I'm normally a 4ish hour sleeper, so shortly after everyone else was asleep (or so I thought), something wakes me up, a big splash in the water, which my first thought is a big fish jumping. Then almost immediately I hear 3 more large splashes, guessing 15-20yd intervals, probably 3seconds apart, now I'm awake. Still trying to shake sleep off, I remember no big fish in this section, so I'm really confused. The same thing happened 3 more times, 4 big splashes, but I'm awake now, and it almost sounds like boat anchors being thrown in the water, best description. When the 4th set of 4 splashes happened, I inadvertently spoke out in frustration, "come on.... really!" My son heard me speak, and he says, "so you heard, that too?". I replied yeah, it's the 4th time it's happened tonight. He asked me if I knew what it was, and all I could reply with I really couldn't say. At this point, in my head, I didn't want to admit that my only explanation I could come up with was something I had never overly considered possible. By this time, I'm pissed off (which my son had NEVER seen before), and in fight mode. I reignite our camp fire, grab my axe, and continue patrolling our camp until daybreak, periodically hearing movement beyond the firelight, but never eyeshine, but the splashes also stopped. The following morning, I found out my Brother-in-law also heard it, but his son hadn't. We've done variations of the same trip probably 8 times since then, but it's never happened again. That being said, I'm not certain if I do or don't want to EVER have that experience again. Most of my life, I have been an adrenaline junkie, rock climbing, spelunking, killed a bear at 15, not to mention, 10yrs U.S. Army Infantry, including 3 deserts and a jungle. Again, not certain about ever wanting that Experience again. I'm certain plenty will call BS, that being said, have at it, my give a D broke a long time ago
