Being from the other side of The Pond I had never heard of Addar before today. Thanks for another kit manufacturer history Max. I've said it before and I will say it again you do this stuff so well 👏🖖
I never saw any of the Addar kits in New Zealand. But in the 1970s I had a pen-friend in America, and he sent me the Super Scenes Jaws kit, with the shark and the diver in a cage. The bottles were clear plastic, and came in two halves - front and back, with a real cork. There was also a printed cardboard backscene that went inside the bottle, and gave the scene a good sense of depth. Nearly 50 years later, and I have never seen another Addar kit in the flesh. Thank you for another great history video. Together, these make an important archive - the information really should be gathered together in book form.
Seeing the ship in a bottle kits jarred my memory. I had a Pyro kit of Drake's Golden Hind. I have to admit, I've never even heard of Addar, but that shouldn't be a huge surprise since I grew up shopping in the original #1 Wal Mart store which had the biggest selection in the area.
Great video as always. As a bona fide Ape-o-holic and knew you would be bringing up the Apes line when you mentioned working on an Addar history video, but did not realize how their apes kits were such a significant part of their business. I not only know Hunter and his 'definitive' Planet of the Apes site, but have contributed a few photos/items over the years (non-model stuff). Hunter will be pleased to know (if you have not contacted him already) that you mentioned his site as he is all about bringing information to the fans. I do have 4 of the Planet of the Apes kits in my stash but still want to improve my modelling skills before I get to those as I want to make them as perfect as possible.
Great post Max! Thanks for the information. Yup, I remember Evel Knievel! Never built an Addar kit though. Hope you had a great Father's Day! Great T-shirts, I'm jealous 😂🤣😂. As always God bless you and your family. Thanks for everything you do! Model On Sir!!
Another model company I'd like to see detailed is "Dora Wings". I recently received three 1/72 aircraft models. They are very detailed with PE Brass parts.
These HISTORY of SERIES are MAXSMODELS superpower I loved the old PLANET of the APES 🦍 movie series… Add this to the history of model… TAMIYA did a TIME CAPSULE series for 1/35 figure kits, just like these ADDAR kits… Look it up… Yep, this is MAXS SUPERPOWER…. CHRIS from OHIO 🇺🇸 🙉🙈🙊 😅😂🤣
I remember the box art from those kits, especially the “Planet of the Apes” but the subjects never did anything for me to create an interest to build them.

One of your best model history posts!

I’ve owned (and still do) the Addar aircraft two in one kits. The Stratotanker is cool as it’s actually a Dash 80 in 1/300 scale!😊
Thanks for the update Max. I remember seeing the "Apes" kits.

Thanks, Dario, and thanks @maxsmodels! Informative video, and I appreciate your sharing the link to my site.
Great video had the f84 and f100 kit.

My older brother built the Dr. Zaius kit. He used gloss orange for the hair. 😁
Never even heard of 'em. Of course, I was on active duty '73 - '77, and overseas '75/'76.
I wish I had alot of unused molds from Any company😢

Great video, Max! I didn't know addar released old Aurora kits. I've only ever seen the Planet of the Apes kits.
Thank you for the video. ^^
I love your model company history videos! Could you do a Takom one? Thank you!!
