PMPwithRay I didn’t pass :( I wish I would of found your videos sooner than 3 days before. I’m retaking Dec 29. I need a new study schedule and plan. My test anxiety and the conditions of virtual proctoring really messed with my mindset going into the exam.
Hello again, I was hoping if you could provide some tips regarding things to be done at the 11th hour, just before your PMP exam? I understand making videos is a time taking process so If you can just comment on what you did a day or two before the PMP exam, that will really help me and anybody who has an upcoming exam. Thanks very much. My deadline is wednesday.
Hi Somendra, few tips for the day before the exam: 1. Do not write any more mock tests. Revise your error logs 2. Revise you error logs again :) 3. Practice the PMP exam brain dump so that you are quick in recalling the formulas 4. Revise your working notes 5. Plan the logistics of your exam very well (wifi, room, connectivity, travel etc.) 6. Get plenty of sleep
@@PMPwithRay firstly, thank you very much for the reply. Okay, so I am appearing for the online proctored exam, my hometown is in roorkee, uttarakhand so I cannot travel to bangalore which seems to be the safest option. I do not have a brain dump ready (I know the 49 ITTOs, 33 project documents, and key deliverables and formulae but did not prepare a proper brain dump, i have all these on my fingertips though). Now, is the brain dump highly recommended? Or can I skip it at this stage? (I may be overlooking some key important point that a brain dump can help me cover, I still have 3 days to go) I don't know it'll be much help either as Online exam does not let you carry a pen. I also do not have an error log. I found myself too bored to write down where I went wrong. I just kept practicing and practicing till I started scoring above 75 percent. I was thinking about focusing on what I do know before the exam by solving more tests. Do you suggest I go back to error logs? The trade off may be a lower motivation level because I will try to rewire the things in my brain once I see some obscure question that I got wrong in one of the practice tests? My working notes are my forte, I will surely do that. Your suggestion to go through them strengthens my conviction. I'll surely try to make the last day as tension free as possible. I'll do nothing. Maybe talk to myself explaining the processes in PMBOK to an imaginary audience, this may sound odd but this is how I've learned most of the concepts. Thanks very much again. Also, please provide your stern feedback if you thing I'm missing out by not making a brain dump/error log. I still have 3 days, I might be able to do something.
Hi Somendra, since you have only 3 days left (now 2 days essentially), I would not suggest to try anything new now. Play on your strengths (working notes, revising the 49 processes, explaining to imaginary audience etc.) The intent of the brain dump is to help you recall the mathematical formulas during the exam fast. Now, if you are already able to do it the its fine. Else, revise the mathematical formulas very well (they can get confusing during the stress of exam). Focus on the themes of your errors (any particular type of question, topic etc.) and know your blind spots. Keep an eye open for very close answer choices while solving situational questions! :) Lastly, don't try anything new now...believe in yourself and be relaxed! I am sure you will do well...
Thanks where gratitude is due. @PMPwithRAY you have provided some very nice material here and are very helpful to new PMP aspirants like me. I passed the PMP. AT in all five process groups. And many concepts I picked up through videos provided by you THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
