This is a banger and of course Towa's voice is just amazing on a heavy song, Utsu-P, the producer/composer of the song is just a master at making these fantastic heavy songs. I can only highly recommend Hakka's cover of this song as it is just as amazing as this version but has things distinct to it. For more Towa, I'm still a big fan of her cover of Hearts, and there's of course more, but I'll leave it at that.
Some time ago Towa said that 『Palette』was her peak performance, this types of original songs and covers remind me of that stament as a innocent lie cause there is no way she already has done everything she can. Im just waiting for her solo live and her album and can asure both are going to be great.
The entire Scream EP is just banger after banger, and all different genres too. Towa really likes to do a lot of experimenting with vocal range. Highly recommend listening to the rest of it, btw. You've already listened to Palette and My Roar, so there's Fact, Born to be real, Akuma and Midnight Runaway left. I'd recommend Fact next, as it also has an MV, unlike the others.
That heavy instrumental is courtesy of the legendary Utsu-P, one of the best metal Vocaloid musicians. Seeing a collab between him and Towa was a welcomed suprise for sure. I do recommend checking out Utsu-P's songs as well as you could expect similarly heavy instrumentals and actual Vocaloid scream vocals.
It's always fun when the talents go outside their comfort zone with their music. This one is definitely a (head) banger. I'm a big fan of mixing heavy metal with softer female vocals. I hope you'll check out Hakka's cover of this song at some point. Towa is maybe my favorite singer in Hololive, so it's a high bar to match, but Hakka kills it with the metal.
Although I agree with you to a certain extent, this one isn't Towa out of her confort zone. She love Rock and Metal songs, she had quite a few karaoke streams focused on Rock music (not Metal because she might not have had the okay to sing it) but her singing this kind of song isn't out of the ordinary.
@@rebaxbayushi577Loving rock and metal is different than being something she typically sings or being comfortable doing it. (Few people are comfortable singing music they have not practiced before.) She does plenty of rock music, obviously, since that's a very common genre in anime music, but metal isn't, and I've listened to a lot of her karaoke and this style of music was not something she was known for singing. Maybe metal isn't a super huge leap from rock, and this isn't like hardcore heavy metal, but I would still consider this outside of her previous singing style and comfort zone, and definitely outside the norm for Hololive as a whole.
My Roar is definitely one of my favorite songs of hers, and would definitely recommend Benzoin Hakka's (from Holostars) cover of this. He pumps the metal up and it works so well.

I love Towa´s voice, her unique voice make any song she drops amazing. I cannot stop recommending Hakka´s cover of this song, man, he nailed it. And the promise of he and Towa making a song together make me had gosebumps, just imagine. I would add Takane Lui to the mix, the three of the most unique voices in holopro music, you add some metal and crazyness to the mix and you will get something incredible. I just can hope some day it will happen.
When I first saw that this song was composed by Utsu-p, I knew it was going to be an absolute banger. Utsu-p pretty much does anime Doom music, and Towa's voice mixes perfectly with their style. Their combination makes me think of some Lacuna Coil songs. This is still one of my favorite songs from Towa, and I definitely recommend checking out more of Utsu-p's music as they are pretty much all amazing.

The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out.
