Discovery of Witches was OK. Not enough I would watch again or even buy to add to my collection. It was actually forgettable. Already forgot most of it. Carnival Row was good. I liked it and will be something I would buy to add to my collection. The world building, costumes, and sets were well done. The story felt believable and the actors did great jobs. The only sticking point that irritated me was the second season with the Bad Guy that was obviously Communism. It felt like the story tellers felt their audience would be too stupid to understand the concepts were actually Communism and how bad it was they had to insure they inserted "Comrade" into it to insure the dumbest of TV watchers would understand that it is actually the bad guys and not the good guys. Although I did like when "Comrade" told Imogen food was for only those who worked for it. Pity they canceled it. Only Penny Dreadful staring Eva Green was worth anything. It's also one TV series I plan to buy. I liked the shows tone, the costumes, the world building, the tension, the build-up and yes, even the ending to me felt right and well done. It was sad to see end but it did end when it was needed. The Sandman I bought and liked. I do hope the second season will not be a disappointment. I like the storylines, the settings and costumes. The actors did a good jobs and the tension makes me hope that I can see what comes of it. The never dying human story is also interesting. In a way I hope we don't get backstory on his life other than what we already know. It's not needed. His love of life is what makes him a good character and storyline. He's seen it all. The highs and lows and he still loves life. That's all we need to see is him continue with it. Not waste time telling us a flashback story about him. Constantine with Reeves is the only one that interested me. It was well made and to the point without overstaying it's welcome. I do hope the new movie coming out with Reeves does it justice. Wednesday was good and I've watched it a few times already. I enjoy the 2 Addams Family movies starring Raul Julia and he will always be in my mind Gomez as Morticia will always be Angelica Huston. I am relived that Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega stood their ground and never caved into the Woke mind virus to make Wednesday have a same sex tryst with her roommate. It was unneeded and unwanted! Ortega did a stand-up job at keeping true the character she was portraying. The Witcher lost me at the end of Season 2. Never watched past that. Couldn't even get into it again to rewatch the 1st 2 seasons. I 1st thought it was good for the 1st season, than it just dropped off the cliff for me and I lost all interest in it. The rest never got into them or never heard of them to give an opinion.
It sounds like you've had a mix of experiences with these shows! It's great to hear your thoughts on 'Carnival Row', 'Penny Dreadful', and 'The Sandman'-those are definitely some standout series with impressive world-building. I agree with you on 'The Witcher', it lost its charm after Season 2 for many viewers. Thanks for sharing your opinions!

Yeah, well I liked the Sandman better than I liked the Witcher. And I’m a huge fan of the Witcher games, but the show doesn’t do it for me… wow I thought the Sandman was really good
