Vintage Star Ruby Diamond Cluster Ring 5.5ct Ruby

A magnificent vintage star ruby diamond cluster ring exhibiting a gorgeous natural cabochon ruby at its heart, weighing approx. 5.5 carats. It has a vivid cherry-pink hue and an ethereal shimmer that moves across the curvature of the stone and morphs into a small star in direct light.
The centre stone is complemented by a border of bright, clean brilliant-cut diamonds, that also chase down each shoulder, with three dazzling trillion-cut diamonds flanking on each side (approx. 0.15ct each). They all have excellent VS1 clarity - H colour and have a combined weight of approx. 2.5 carats.
The piece is modelled entirely in 18ct white gold, with yellow gold claws holding the ruby and features a fabulous basket under gallery at the back, with intricate, pierced workmanship.
