A good thing to note is to the ability Switcheroo, there is a damage buff after you switch. So it's good practice to switch them around. Also the long distance weapon acts like a grenade launcher and provides splash damage. So if an enemy is getting away, you can simply blast the wall or floor near them or hit multiple enemies. Also if you are struggling against Sentinel, their shield doesn't cover their feet. So if you aren't in a position to flank, you can blast their feet with the long distance one, again doing splash damage to Sentinel and whoever they are guarding.
