I broke my arm in 4th grade. I went to the nurse. I was crying the whole time. After a few minutes of looking at it and trying to move it around and see if I could move it, despite my clear pain and difficulty the whole time she went “It’s not broken, you’re fine. Just keep this ice on it.” I went home but she thought I didn’t need to and was just being dramatic. I took a long nap and then later in the day my mom tried to lightly hold my arm and I just screamed a mirror shattering scream and she was like “alright we’re taking you to the urgent care.” And my arm was indeed broken and I went back to school in a cast. I hope the nurse felt really dumb. I never went back to the school nurse after that. I was pissed.
