Mi padre es Celendino, mi abuela nació en 1918, unos cuantos años antes que Yma Sumac, mi abuela nació el 10 de Set. de 1918 y fallece en el 2013. Yma nació el 13 de Set. pero de 1922. Algo un tanto gracioso, por eso siento tanto aprecio por Ymac Sumac, grande entre las grandes!

Mis dos abuelas nacieron en las decadas de los 30 y 20. Pero solo uno de mis abuelos habló de ella: "Yma Sumac, la mujer peruana más famosa en todo el mundo".

@@AnimationandMore3009 a mi me contaron eso, que le tenia bastante respeto a Yma, y que se chismeaba a los famosos de Hollywood de los 50, decia que Marilyn era una loca, jeje

This is my favourite song of hers. In the 1940s and 50s, she was married to a competent composer and arranger. After they got divorced, things were never quite the same.
This vid also reveals that in her prime, she was stunningly good looking. Her having substantial Indio ancestry looks improbable to me. She had a very expressive face, and I am astonished she did not have something of a film career.

One of the last names of Yma Sumac's mother was Atahualpa. And Atahualpa was one of the Inca royalty.
