@@hardcoregaming7467 hello 👋, sorry about the long response time.... the camera lag is at a level where if you fly slowly it's fine but if you go fast you'll hit a wall before you think you will 😂. It works and it can take photos. It's just a bit of fun and perfect training tool for a bigger drone like a DJI. Hope this helps. May the force be with you 🙂💫
james ok now listen to me need realy good obsticle avoidence and a camera on a drone,prefferably a good one, n i realy like your reviews now does that get me any brownie points hahahaha , now what could you recamend that doesnt cost so much n that i can use and remember i'm handicapped n i fly them but i have difficlties in doing so, n i mforgot a pretty reliable flight time to remember that i cant get up n go get it if it falls n i need it to have bumpers or guards or both and many many not mini butt many batterys.
The cheapest drone with a good camera and obstacle avoidance is still $1,000, the DJi Mini Pro3, if you want the best drone for the money it’s by far the DJI MiniSE at $299, if you looking for a great drone at this price pint i like the HS430 at $45ish, flies for 11-12 minutes and has a good camera
I am also a wheelchair guy really worried about outdoor flying in my yard with lots of obstacles and fences. I have a new hs720g and am considering selling it!
Just ordered one for myself. Love the HS190. Took a bit of time to get it trimmed in, but flying it all around my house. Luck that I didn't hit one of the R/C planes. HS420 will be here tomorrow.

Can you use this to check your own roof and gutters! Is the camera good enough for that? Also, is checking your own roof considered recreational, I know it falls under the 250g maximum, but I don’t want to get into trouble with the FAA! lol
I think your ok checking your own roof, I havent met a another roofer yet that has a 107, but i have to admit, i inspected roofs for several years before i even knew about the 107, I dont think this is good enough for that but at the same price point the HS430 takes really good pictures and the gimbal is adjustable, just watch the wind

As I say I’m almost every video, the HS210 out performs every mini drone. It flies so amazing and more like a real drone flies. I really don’t think anything comes close and everyone I have ever had fly several mini drones for me agree’s. But best value with a camera is the HS340 or the X35 from Home Depot

I actually started with a DJI Mini 4 pro, but we've had a streak of bad weather since I bought it 13 days ago. I have flown it indoors, but it isn't worth the risk. Today my friend let me fly his HS210 in his living room and I had a blast, I ordered a HS420 right there on the spot. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can practice both indoors and outdoors in any conditions. [Edit]: I sent this drone back after 10 days as much as I did not want to. I had a motor fail and when I looked into spare parts I saw they were charging $12 per motor, and $17 per battery. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I really loved that little thing, But I'm not going to get scammed on spare parts.
only time headless mode would be helpful is if you were over water and it was far away and you lost orientation i am thinking... but i never used headless mode on a drone,so it may be just a guess...thanks for sharing
Lol, I dont think I would be sending this drone over water, It really only takes an hour max to learn the orientation of a drone correctly, thanks for all your input!

HEADLESS MODE is mainly an emergency function to prevent a crash after drone has hit something and spun around so your joy sticks no longer move it in normal directions as at take off. Instead of guessing what to do wasting time and losing control headless mode allows drone to override normal orientation and only respond to new remote orders . Once it recovers directions and stabilizes turn off Headless mode !
Have a bit of an issue with it. My Cell phone is to big to fit into the cradle . Either need another phone. NOT or build an attachment out of foam to be removable for storage, VELCRO it on. Previous Aerospace Engineer. Retired. Bummer huggh????
I just bought one after watching your video, but then as soon as it takes off it goes straight to the wall and I can control it, soon then it shuts itself off. maybe I missed something?
The hs420 is a great mini drone but paired with a sucky app that only seems to fly correctly once a day in the morning! Then the rest of the day it says "UNCONNECTED" even when the props are spinning and the bird is in the air. Also the video camera is hard to connect , not available before takeoff and laggy sometimes. This is making me want to defect to POTENSIC which on my other mini has a smart, coordinated camera and app!

Yes, any wind is to much, I’m working on the HS110d video now, it is my favorite HS drone so far and it’s under $90 US, it’s the fastest also so it will do great in the wind!
I am an old man with my second drone. Wiped out the first one in just a couple of hours. I am getting quite good at piloting this one. But I cannot figure out how to connect to my android Moto g stylus phone. I need help. Any suggestions? I am waiting for a reply from Holystone.

I wouldn’t go over 100 feet of so, it doesn’t have “return to home” and no GPS so if its loses connection it’s supposed to stop and land but I have had them just disappear into the Sunset! But, I have pushed this on to about 200 feet with no problem
My 420 seems to have fairly weak WiFi (indoors so far) the video gets very laggy maybe due to WiFi interference from neighboring houses? This makes actual safe FPV flying impossible.

Sir, even 1mph of wind and that drone is going to say..."Seeeeeyaaaaa....Jaaam....(quietness as it hops into the pond outside your house) I have a HolyTon(ayup...HolyTon is HolyStone) HT-02 with no prop guards but the crazy little thing has a camera a bunch of batteries and does tricks too. Even a puff of wind and without even Optical Flow(GPS? Lets try $200 more) to sort of save it, no matter what, this drone is going to think it's riiight about where it needs to be which could just be heading at 30mph in 30mph winds right into a wood chipper.....BZZZZTTTCRRZZZTT meeeeyoooowwwnnnnnNNNN (the sound of a wood chipper encountering something to chip before it speeds back up again)🤭 Oh, it should be said that if you bounce that off something with a bit of steam, the props might be just fine however, that style of retention for Holy Stone batteries enables the drone to CHUCK the battery somewhere away from where the drone is. I've seen up to 6 feet in a bed of flowers (which was NOT easy to see)
@@b4ugo Good to hear. I just got an HS175D and even it gets pushed a bit. At least with some GPS and Optical Flow it maintains but if you give it the sauce ALONG with wind and that drone hits 25MPH pretty dang fast and takes a bunch of counter stick to turn it and fight the inertia until stability.
With the long charging time and very short flying time, they should come with five batteries at least not three otherwise not worth purchasing it in fairness 👎 Wasting more power waiting for it to charge and less time playing with it 🤣
Even DJI's Tello has only a 10 minute max fly time in good weather (no wind), takes a long time to charge too and you can fly it indoors. One of the batteries bloated over the winter (since I can't fly it outside due to subzero Celsius temperatures).

The 420 is a much more advanced drone, the camera is surprisly pretty good, enjoy!

try deleting the app and reinstalling it, i havent ever had trouble with the app. Have you tried a different device? thanks for watching

might need a rubber band "lap belt" for the battery outdoors. My 420 drops the battery if it hits concrete floor hard.
