Here’s my headcanon for how the guys got dressed up: Makoto did Joker’s outfit and makeup, since they have similar styles. She found most of that outfit in Sae’s closet and ‘borrowed’ it. Ann saw Ryuji’s blond hair and thought it’d be funny to make them look the same. She definitely went a little nuts on the makeup and opted for some pretty heavy mascara (Ryuji was not on board and resisted the whole way, which did the opposite of deter Ann). Yusuke was going to do his whole costume himself until he saw some of Futaba’s design ideas. He really liked the similarity to traditional Japanese clothing, so he took the suggestion on board wholeheartedly (little did he know that it’s the same outfit that Futaba’s favourite hentai protagonist wears). Also Yusuke definitely did his own makeup.
