I sometimes joke that it is lower than the number of people who know that G-Force/Battle Of The Planets was made from Gatchaman. When I got to see Gatchaman '72 subtitled in 2008, it felt amazing. It was like seeing it for the first time all over again.
Personally, I liked the added dialogue during the combination sequence. The omission of it in Legendary Defender, while a reference to the original GoLion, feels lacking.
