It would be about finding a capable player to pair with AD moving forward when lebron retires. And getting him at a decent price because he doesnt have much value. This next season and a half with lebron would be great for selling tickets and mentorship for him. But its not about fixing the lakers now.

@@truckerstar24 There aren't many great defenders or '2-way players in today no defense NBA --- so being a top 3 scorer probably puts him in the top ten in my book
Why is anyone pretending that signing with Klutch means anything other than that the Lakers get first dibs at him, should they feel a need to acquire him?
Most hoop fans love BI’s game, but the money he wants ain’t it. Golden State is probably the best fit because they’re deep enough to trade for him. Lakers giving up depth for BI probably makes them worse
BI always struck me as a Iguodala-type, maybe not GSW iggy, but more Nuggets/Late Philly Iggy. Very much a jack-of-all trades type offensively. Obviously, different skillset, but similar role. And on a contender, likely best as a 6th man offensive hub - especially as we saw in team USA he doesn’t work well without the ball. As for a contender that can use him, I think Minny could really use him. McDaniels is nice, but they could use him to run the second unit with Naz Reid and NAW as a point forward type. He can obviously start and finish with the starters, but having him staggered with Ant and Randle could give them that boost of offensive creativity while they sit.
BI has been available for the Pelicans much more than Zion but still the Pelicans chose to commit to Zion. This is what they get for distinguishing Zion as their saviour even though he never earned that distinction.
The Lakers trading for him might not be the worse thing because if he walks next year that would be a lot of money coming off the books. Also if Lebron decides to take less that can pave the way forward to getting a significant piece or pieces.
Idk if the nets want him but if they did cam Johnson and sharpe and a pick could be a framework with cam Johnson being able to be used as a trade chip later
The ideal trading partner to move Brandon Ingram is a team that can afford to rent him for the remainder of the season without giving up assets valuable to them. In that scenario it doesn’t matter where Brandon wants to go. Hawks, Wolves (if they can aggregate contracts) and the Pistons.
In the scenario of a team signing him and not paying said amount… what if no team pays it? Does he then sit out the league, unsigned or take the offer?
I think BI would be a nice addition to the Pistons, but i wouldn't mind seeing him to the Hawks for Boogie & Hunter a nice pairing with Tra with Clint being a FA next year the Hawks could pay him
Your intel is just bad or outdated because the pels have been trying to trade him for a while now but no team wants to pay him a max when he has next to no playoff experience and hasn’t proven he puts a team over the top. Furthermore the pelicans are the team that can pay him the most. He will resign in New Orleans for somewhere around 36-42 a year and then all the teams will call for him.
Bucks are a 2nd apron team, they can't aggregate salaries. They can't trade 2+ at a time in a deal. They can only trade 1 of their players in a single deal.
Lakers can 100% use him. We trade Rui. That replaces Zions spot and keeps them competitive. Also add Dlo plus JHS. Give them an unprotected 1st. And a second. Pick up Elfrin Peyton on the open market for PG ball handling duties cause that is 1 major thing Dlo does well. Protect the ball while bringing it up better then AR and LeBron. And also add in a center from Pelicans. If they give up Yves Missi we do both 1st rounders. But top 5 protected on both. He's worth a 1st as well. That would revamp us. Set up Pelicans for future and for Zion spot. Plus they still have Theis as Center they payed good money for and is not playing much. Gives Pelicans money flexibility next season. And a starting PG in Dlo for this season with all the injuries they got going on. I think that's a win win. Young talent for us. And we need BI because we need a guy who can create off the dribble. Especially when LeBron is clearly tired some games. He can't do it all every game. AR can create. But who else? Besides LeBron 70% of the games? No one. Dlo sometimes does. But that's it. This makes sense. And we have a guy that we would want to resign in Ingram. And future young Center. Double double almost that can block shots. Pretty good size as well
Rui gabe vando and a first for BI and Theis lets do it DLO Wood and a first for DFS and Sharpe BI Reaves Knecht Bron AD would go hard BI can shoot, score, play d, most importantly can playmake and gives LA a legit option in the clutch that would help Bron a ton and mitigate a need for a pg.
