  • PIMS-TS is a hot topic of discussion as we are seeing more and more patients with varied presentations. This is still a evolving disorder and this is what I have read till date. I think this is a definite question for the upcoming exams/viva/OSCE. All the best
    points forgotten
    1.RT-PCR is usually negative but serology is positive in patients with PIMS suggesting that is not a direct effect of virus and not seen during active phase

    Ma'am ferritin won't be sky high like HLH. It will be 5000 range only right?
    Please mention references during mx. IVIG dose from where ma'am?
    Urticaria is a rare presentation.
    GI - diffuse tenderness of right side abdomen, more in RIF.

    Mam one doubt..In history u told history of contact with covid 19 patient mam🤔

    • @pediatrictakesbydr.pavitra9813
      @pediatrictakesbydr.pavitra9813  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. There is a contact and possibly this child had a COVID but asymptomatic. Down the lane-after 2-4 weeks post infection-presentation of PIMS. By that time PCR may be negative but antibodies are positive.
