    I've used a piece of 4" (100mm) waste pipe when travelling, put a towel over it to cushion slightly.
    Doesn't take up much room because you can stuff it with clothes that didn't need ironing.

    I used a foam roller every single day. i have pain in my hips, back, knees. Wow, a VIBRATING foam roller makes a huge difference. I used one that does not vibrate for around two months. But after trying a vibrating one I am totally in love. Often when I am in pain, I run to foam roll. Highly recommended. I bought mine in Amazon for almost a $100.00. They can be powerful!!!

    I use a medium density foam roller with massage knubbies about every day and it's definitely great for squeezing out all the little back cracks. It's also very good at releasing trigger points for those tense traps at their corners. I couldn't believe I spent $70 on it at the time, but has been worth it.

    • @jamiearnold1711
      @jamiearnold1711 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lumbar spine doesn't have as much support as the thoracic and mid back (muscles and ribs). However, you can target the QL (lower back) by rolling laterally, but not off the pelvis! You can also target the lower back with a tennis ball. DO NOT roll on the spine or pelvis, just the muscles.

      I just got a massage roller thingie from Target that has handles. Sort of like an old fashioned rolling pin but with free rolling massage rings instead of a single cylinder. I actually used it on my legs as I watched the video. I don't know if it's as effective as letting my whole body rest on a roller, because that gives more pressure. But it definitely loosened my muscles some.

      I feel you Amy! I’ve had two hip replacements plus one revision when the first one went to crap after 11 months. I’m finally starting to be able to move only because I’m using something totally different now for pain management. Thank. God!
      I’d been bedridden all winter I haven’t had a super good last two days, but I had a had a super super bad last eight months.
      I’m still going to have bad days. That’s just life with arthritis and fibromyalgia pain etc.
      Best to you!!
