Thank you. You are right on TH-cam you can't really find them in an ordered way. For the moment they are numbered from 1 to 19 with missing #7 and #14. I hope that this can help you in progressing with MS Project. Have a great day.
Hi Christian, could you give me an explanation of over allocation? It's by hours or by date?
over allocation is by hour. If you can work a maximum of 8 hours a days and MS Project allocates you a task of 10 hours that same day you are in over allocation. Hope this clarifies it.

Hi and thank you for your videos, they are very clear. I have a question: Project automatically assigns 8 hrs for every task, but in reality many task take less time per day, how can the hours be modified?
Thank you for your supportive comment and your question. If you want to assign less time to a task you can look at the resource usage tool. Here is a link to a video on solving overallocation with that tool. It will show you how to change worked hours. May be you canlLet me know how it solved your point?

hi, I have a master schedule with 22 projects in, I need to assign each project manager to only 2 projects at the same time I gave them 50% max unit but still it shows over allocated do you know how can I fix it?( projects are not linked together)

Great video for pointing out the different ways to resource level... however, am I the only one confused as to why the first 3 methods give a different solution to the last method? Why is this?
Thank you for your comment and question. In the video I mentioned that you must be aware of what has changed in your project and the different method do not always bring the same result.

I need to create an example of overallocated resources until tomorrow evening and I do not have any idea on how to do it in MS Project. Thank you for your question. Depending on your situation their might be different places where to change the calendar, project level, resource level. Depending on the complexity of your project, overallocation has to be solved in different ways. Here is one example:

@@vision6D I cant level using levelling option because it changes the duration of the project. So I tried it manually by changing time and by assigning another resource to reduce number of units ( hours) and also I increased number of resources(units) in certain periods. By reducing units overallocation get solved. but where I cant assign another resource I tried changing the working days and hours of the calendar as exceptions. But it wont solve overallocation. I did it on a sample project. How can I send you the project file?

Is there a way in which we got to know the number of resources required for a task of fixed duration.

@@vision6D thanks for the reply, actually, I am planning for a construction project, so for example, if am going to build a building in 60 days, so for completing the building in the fixed time how many labors should I mobilize for completing the project on time so that there is no overallocation on any of the task
@@sushilsingh2375 MS Project is not going to help you estimate the number of resources. This is you and your team or your company that will do those estimations. Did I understand you the right way?
