Highlights of probably the greatest gaelic football match ever between Dublin and Kerry in the 1977 All-Ireland SFC Semi-Final. #gaa #dublingaa #kerrygaa
Still to this day there hasn’t been a game like this , darling & heroes of croke park , god bless Kerry & Dublin for this never to be forgotten moment in Irish sports history
A s sports fan for 60 years this was one of the greatest games I ever attended Had everything and the tension as a fan was unbearable at time What classics they were between the Dubs andKerry ….a classic and no cynicism…what sport was all about…difficult to replicate in our modern world Thanks guys👏🙏
Not a Dub fan but the individual skill level in that match has never been surpassed, even in the control-obsessed football that we've had to put up since the 2000s
I’ve watched the clips on TH-cam of many’s a game from back then and I can honestly say the standard was fucking cat. Big aimless agricultural kicks up the field that were invariably straight to the opposition defenders. Next to no skill on offer or no such thing as solo dummies or cuteness. If people think the standard nowadays is bad they ain’t seen nothing.
Weren't wrapped in cotton wool back then, you'd have needed to have played in that era to appreciate how tough it was,no prisoners taken,no cards from referees, just hit everything that moved.
A lot of shit gets talked about these games. There are so many missed passes and wides. The game is better now skill wise and there are better players now.
So your saying there are no wides today or stray passes ? Unfortunately you’ve missed the greatness of this game , a love the game today but this beats them all
I totally agree with you. I grew up watching the Dubs in the 70s until the present day, and the fitness, preparation and skills are so much better. Sure look how the women have come on in leaps and bounds. Give me todays game and today's Croke Park anytime. Croker was a kip back in the 70s.

@@johnnydepp7012 Silly boy.
@johnnydepp7012 stop talking shite.
Oh by the way it's "their."
What a game that was. Ebb and flow all the way until the later stages. Fantastic.
One of the greatest moments in GAA history when Sean Doherty fields that ball from the sky to Bernard Brogan hitting the net
Ballybodens finest

Charlie Bridges You're spot on. More high catches, solo runs and long distance points scored in this match than the whole of this year's championship!
Anton O"Toole got some great scores in this game
Anton was a great player a lovely fellow off the field god rest him
Anto was the best man to one way and the other proper blue 💙 panter
Legendary game and it always will be.
Remember it well even though I was only 9 at the time. Some game.
The pace of the game was relentless just like Sunday
"Bernard Brogan away drilling for oil, and now he's drilling balls into the back of the Kerry net" Doncha just love Mickey the Hare!
Feels good to be a dub

yes they were in fact human beings back then, but gaelic football is not 'better now'
So your saying there are no wides today or stray passes ? Unfortunately you’ve missed the greatness of this game , a love the game today but this beats them all
