Exactly my first thought 😁 Thanks for the video KC5TGT! and greetings from Germany. I really love this radio for its simplicity and great build quality. I got mine two weeks ago and even in 2022 it’s still an awesome entry level device especially if you want to enter the digital world easily.
Thank you for the video ! very good to know . i need help on how to replace the the PTT / Vol / on off rubber on my ft 70d , I accidently pulled it loose. tore it trying to push it back in. I have a new one but cant get it installed correctly . Can you show me how ? thanks much , 73 KI7LOC
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you. Well I'd have to take the radio apart again to see how that rubber is attached on the inside and I really don't want to have to take it apart any more than absolutely necessary for fear of damaging something. Have you already taken yours apart and looked inside the front housing? I'm thinking it might not be too difficult to replace once the radio is apart and you just have the front housing in your hand. Everything about the little radio seemed pretty user friendly when it came to disassembly. (but I could be totally wrong, since I didn't have to mess with that rubber piece to fix the speaker issue)
Nice to see what the inside of my radio looks like without having to disassemble. Cheers

From where did you order the internal speaker? The speaker on my FT-70 blew out and I'm looking for a replacement.
Found my answer in the video. Guess I'll have to make a call to Yaesu as well.
Nice work 👍
Thanks for the great video
Great job!!!
You can tell from the inside of radio that its a Japan quality radio dont see a well put together radio like these from beofengs lol
True!
Could you do the same on the Ft3D
Probably could if I owned one but unfortunately I do not.
What's the part number?
Could have just put a 1 watt 8 ohms speaker in same size
