Of course they have a spotty robodog. What else would they have? Another thing about them, when people see Dalmatians they think Fire Department. Great advantage in rescues. People will see spotty and think help is coming and even move or call out to attract its attention. Very effective thinking. They both are cute and can walk backwards which is a challenge for real dogs. Excellent video Skyler. I’ve missed seeing these while you were away.
Thank you so much for your fleet week series 😊 I love it how FDNY uses a revolving flash on cab roof for emergency lights, still in 2024 😊 I also like the Blue flashers on back 😊 It gives a different flash color just like using Amber on back instead of ALL Reds 😊 the climate control so,so important with a DRONE in storage 😊
@@SkylerFire Just signed off on my new ( very used) baby girl. 1989 Spartan Gladiator pumper. The 92 turbo series DD runs excellent 👍 there are a few issues with the pump. The Fire Cadet program that used it for training needs to sell off their big rigs. Have helped them sell the first Rig a Pumper for a local Airport that had two 5 inch quick connectors on front and rear. It had pump issues also. And an E-450 van aid rig.the Spartan is the last rig, and the Chief of the Department where we stored her needs the space. So I said I would BUY her, but keep her for Cadets to drill on. I take over Fuel, maintenance expenses. I so badly want you to do a fleet week on her and show how I am setting up. I want to load the Fire extinguisher in the air pack compartment. Load her up with Nozzle and fittings as a storage rig for Cadets Right now I have one lower compartment with two pressure Fire Extinguisher and an old school pump extinguisher. The neat thing about her is the first compartment behind the cab is all the way through to both sides with doors The ladder rack is a drop down so the rig has full height adjustable compartment on both sides plus a massive back tail board roll up I will fix the pump issues, as personal money permits and most importantly my wife give A-OK.

Surprise there aren't more units than just the one. I mean it seems on average day, this team would be making runs all day and night without much of break in between.
That’s awesome. I came across your channel. I’m a new subscriber to your channel, it’s pretty cool my dad enjoys watching your channel. He’s a retired New York City firefighter and it’s pretty cool the content you put out and stuff subscribe to your friends channel forget the name of his TH-cam channel, but you probably know who it is but thank you for sharing this Fleet Friday video. Awesome man keep up the good work.
The dogs are interesting but they must be very expensive for what they are when you consider a reel dog and handler team will be more affective at finding casualties and would offer more comfort to the casualties when they find them over a robot
@skylerfire I messaged you on messenger....I can't find the FDNY Robotics Car just this, the old pick up and the Beaches UTVs....I'm assuming he's under SOC so maybe something like Car 4i for example??
the robot dog painted like a dalmation was a nice touch
For sure
Love that Dal..
it cant do do shit in a 4 alarm fire just a good photo shoot. waist of tax payers money.
@@georgecoons6872 what are you talking about?

@@SkylerFire I agree Skyler!
Thanks for the video. Very informative as usual. What is the difference on the water drone vs land drone.
Water drone goes in the water.
Very informative video once again … keep up the great work. Do you know what those brown things over the backseat headrests at 1:56 ?
Headsets I believe
love these! would rly appreciate if you could show where on the vehicles are the lockers you zoom in on, with a wide angle shot perhaps? thanks :)

FDNY has 8 K9s. The robot job is for hazmat and collapses.
Skyler, how long does a battery last on a drone. I always see them changing batteries. I love that, soc island.
Each drone is different they have over 40 of them anywhere from 20-35
So there's 2 CTUs and a Robotics Captain, curious if he rides with the Rescue Battalion or alone
He has his own vehicle he’s in charge of
