    Very useful video Mark, thanks. I'm trying to repair a 4T Kisbee for a friend's daughter. Original symptoms were that it would cut out as soon as the throttle was opened. I've done a full carb clean and I can now rev it to mid throttle on the stand - back wheel spins of course - but engine power dies above mid throttle and picks up again as I close the throttle. With the wheel free to spin when it's on the stand, is there a rev limiter that would cause the power to drop when I open the throttle fully? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 'cos I'm fairly practical but don't really understand scooters!

      Yodings theses are 4t so cdi ! Heat cut the pink wire but I never do they just are 30mph bikes bud

    mark I have just for new crank piston and head on speedfight I am about to put engine back in but when I turn the fan or variator it's a little like that one on this video was kinda getting stuck a little it seems to have eased off I was just wondering what was wrong with this one that has similar problem so I know what to check

      +Digital Gaming this is a kisbee and 4 t speedfights are 2t so completely different mate and different problem - on your speedfight when turning it by hand it go stiff and lose as your turning the piston and when it get to TDC it has compression and then losses it , that's normal as long as it goes all the way up and down but not to tight or jamming !! , did you put a little 2t oil around the piston when you fitted it ? I have lots of other speedfight video's on here have a look mate sure some can help you with this. mark

    hello, i have this motorcycle, can you tell me wich wire to disconnect from the cdi to disrestrict the top speed? i mean what colour is the wire? thanks!

      NONE DO NOT DO IT BUD
      DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES ON THE CDI IT WILL JUST BOLW THE ENGINE, I know so many say cut the pink wire on Chinese bike and it does nothing.
      upjet, change the variator, change the rollers, sports exhaust even a sports cdi but don't cut the wires
      but otherwise cut the pink wire and see what happens as i'm sure someone will tell you there 50cc went from 31mph to 60 mph !!!

    Hi Mark, after some advice, my son has a 2021 Peugeot Kisbee 50cc which was de-restricted. After some some 3 months use and around 2000miles it has developed a jolt at 40mph, where as it would happily sit at 45mph no issues. we have serviced it and also cleaned the carb as best as possible but his seems to be a fuel injection style with an electronic injector between the carb and inlet. any advice on where to go next

      You say service, did you change the rollers, clean variator and check belt !
      It us efi so really you can't all but the air filter
      Fuel ? E10 or E5

      @marksavage Thank you for the quick reply, so service was air filter, Engine oil, Relay box oil and fuel filter, I cleaned the carb as best as could inside it ( watched all your carb videos but then as I said this carb is different and no jets just injector ) I hadn't cleaned the variator or checked the belt so that will be the next port of call.
      when he got the scooter it had 1500Kms on it and now has 5000kms

      @marksavage Just to say thank you, checked the rollers and found flat spots, replaced them initially for 6 grams but the lad moaned about initial pull away so have done a split/mixed with 3 at 4.5G and 3 at 6G and also a new belt and the jolting has stopped.

      they are simple 4t little peds fun to ride but you really have to keep an eye on the engine oil every few weeks and keep it topped up with normal 10/40 or what it says in the manual , keep up with the services and they are fine. mark

      von Hamburg I've got this bike, 2012 rs model matte black, quality bike, got a GPS recorded 53.99mph out of it. bought a de restricted cdi, eBay exhaust, run it on shell vpower only, put some carbon wrap on headlights to make it look bit sportier, and never had a problem with it. best 4 stroke 50cc ped money can buy in my opinion!

    Is the Kisbee 50 engine the same as the GY6 or are they different? cheers

      They are 4t and basically the same but peugeot changed a few bits so you can't just change them

    Hi, ive got a 61 plate peugeot kisbee rs50 it has had a leo vince sports exhaust on it, 5g rollers, open air filter, up jetted and de restricted but it only does 35mph and 4 drive belts have snapped in 3 months, any help. Thanks

      hi bud try 6g rollers, you will have to check out why the beltd are not lasting and my guess like in my variator videos you will need to rub down and damage on the variator and clutch as it sounds like they are damaging the belt and then you will need to change the roller again

    ive heard these can reach about 50 with sports exhaust and de restricted cdi

      I just brought one and as I’m 16 it needs to be restricted turns out it’s de restricted, what do I do?

      @@louiediamond704 You can buy a restricted cdi online and just swap it. No matter what tuning the previous owner did, it is electronically limited to a certain speed, even down a hill it noticeably "brakes".

    Good vid Mark. I want to replace the petcock on my kisbee 50 n 2017 with an on/off fuel tap. Can this be done with a generic universal fuel tap? Have you done any videos on this aspect? Can't for the life of me find a replacement pet cock anywhere.

      ive had a few with then on and off taps and they dont work to well to be honest as left on or forget to turn them off lol
      to be honest most vacuum valves are the same for a few peds so if you measure it to another it should fit bud

      @@marksavage good advice thank you. Will avoid on/off valve then. It may not even be the petcock. Kisbee runs fine with petrol cap off barely idles with it on. Maybe I'll just drill a fine hole in the cap

      @@gegarne this can help or replace the cap as with this new E10 fuel you will be sucking in even more moisture lol
      you can test the vacuum as the way i do in my videos ,both pipes off and suck air one . it should start and stop

    hi mark I have this moped as you may remember. I currently am getting around 45mph top speed on complete flat road, I've got 54mph out of it before though. I want to get some new rollers. what weight do you recommend? I don't know what is in there at the moment. I was thinking maybe combi it with 3 and 6 grams, or get them all 5 grams. any advice?

      BenM1307 I always Combi as in my videos3 and 6g but 5 g is also ok as it gives you good pull away and top end , remember to clean the variator and check belt , mark

      mine is very strange atm and I need help with it because when I go past about quarter throttle it just constantly backfires and I can feel it slowing it down but it keeps trying to get there but it cant plz help would be very much appreciated mark :-)

      you will need to explain a lot more than that bud !
      is the battery ok and holding charge
      does it kick over
      when it was last running was it ok
      is it a 4t kisbee or a different moped
      last service the bike ]immob or none immob
      I have many many moped videos that will help bud it might help going through a few

      No bud , its too big and won't fit
      Change the whole engine after the not !
      It's not illegal for the ped to go faster than 30mph just illegal to do more than 30mph in a 30 mph zone !

    Hi, I have Peugeot kisbee 4stroke 2013, before 2 days I connected the cdi blue wire which is outside to the black wire , yesterday it was fine but today its just like a slow donkey have no power bogging down . First 5 minutes on 10km/h and after 10 minutes 35km/h. Please help me. Thanks

      why did you cut and reconnect wires? who told you to do that and for what purpose?

      Many people say that, this process increases the speed. Only 1 day the speed was 60km/h but yesterday and today it does not have power initial 5 minutes 10km/h and again and again engine off may be 5 times. And after 5 minutes max speed 35km/h. What should I do please help. Should I buy new deristricted cdi ? Please help. Thanks

      hi put it back to normal if it hasnt already done damage till you get a deristriceted cdi, thats what id do
      ive seen time and time again where people cut wires and do more damage

      that's always your worse fear to sell a bike and then it not start, I have had this and you feel bad I know, so many times when you get a new owner they may not know how to start it and end up flooding it
      id take out the plug for 30 mins and let any fuel to escape and clean the plug as it just maybe something as simple as that
      other wise how did they get it home as it's 4t you don't have to worry about if they didn't put any 2t oil

    hi mark, I have this bike and I have a problem where when the bike is cold, I have to twist the throttle for it to start up, and hold it at idle revvs for it to stay on. if I let go of the throttle, it turns off, so I have to hold the throttle at idle revvs until the bike has warmed up a bit, when it then stays on itself. I've tried upping the idle, but this just makes the rear wheel turn too quickly when stopped on the stand. I've bought some carb cleaner today and I'm guna give it a good clean, but apart from cleaning the carb, do you know what else could be the problem? I did replace the auto choke a few months ago as that fell apart.

      BenM1307 ok auto choke was the main thing make sure you replace it properly , I have a video on how to test them , change plug? Given the carb a clean can't hurt and may help also clean air filter , see how you get on with them bud , hope that helps and the please check out my other videos and like share and subscribe , mark

      mark savage yeah I got the garage to fit it properly as this was the stage where I was too scared to take anything off as I didnt know much about them, but after watching all of your videos hopefully cleaning the carb fixes it, the air filter is clean checked a little while ago so I'll see how I get on.

      mark savage hi mark I got the carb apart today and found the idle jet was clogged couldn't see through it, it also had some sort of 'baffle' on the end which I haven't seen on many other carbs, and turns out my main jet is a 78, not sure if that is stock for the bike or not? that was slightly clogged aswell. left the jets sitting in a bit of carb cleaner for today hopefully fixes the problem?

      Hi mark, got all the carb back on and running, bike feels like it generally runs better and has slightly better mid range acceleration, but ill have to see if the idle problem is fixed tomorrow, as the carb obviously had no fuel in it when i first started it. jets were clear, the idle jet had light coming through, couldnt find any wire but i think the carb cleaner and a bit of blowing through them worked. Thanks!
