If you use Morissette as example. Morisette also has a very solid technique BUT around 2017-2019 you can really see that her Technique wasn’t enough to suffice the abuse in her voice (left and right guestings, not to mention more that 3 gigs per night). Lucky for her she got vocal rest during the pandemic and her husband trying to discipline her as well.

At first when you said left and right guestings, I thought you were referring to some part of the vocal folds, until I figured it out. I see that Jona does fairly frequent community, teacher, and corporate events, and often they have venue production recordings which can be pretty good. But she probably only does one a month or a few a month at times, and usually only sings about four songs. She's so charming and engaging in those performances. She's a real professional, but she seems innocent.

She doesn’t do/use upper notes because she had an Operation in her throat. She was even afraid that she couldn’t sing again. But she instead supplemented that with those “playful vocals”. Basically she’s using what’s available to the best of her abilities by being artistic.

She is a vontestant on SINGERS ON China with JESSIE J she rock adele rolling in the deep with her first piece of song..
She use to be a belter but got a problem on her throat and had a surgery, but she did not gave up and found a way to still do her passion for singing.
She is a champion x factor here in the Philippines!
