Very similar design to my lotus 32l. Actually it looks like the same except it's narrowed to get to 28l. Not sure that would be how I would have reduced the volume - I would have reduced the height, keep the width. Would work better for under seat airline. I see that F stop has not what I'll call a separator between the ICU compartment and the upper claim shell access. Was hoping they would have included it as placing anything above the ICU has a tendency to go down either inside the ICU or behind it. Wish they would come out with a revised Guru with similar design. I had one, liked the size BUT even though they said a med ICU works,- it doesn't for me.
I think a separator wouldn't work in there since the bags are designed to use different sized camera inserts. I do understand the frustration with things falling behind the camera insert though. I put all my smaller items that would fall behind in the front panel pocket. When that pocket is bulked out it actually prevents any items from falling down inside the main part of the bag.

Yes, at around 7:55 in the video I show the front pocket that contains the laptop/tablet sleeve/stash pocket.
