I've been to Manchester in 2006 for the first time I believe. The only proper skyscraper in the city was beetham tower. I came to visit again in 2021 and my jaw just dropped - i dont think I've seen a transformation like this in any other city. Almost every street has new builds, tall glass buildings and huge skyscrapers. The infrastructure has been rebuild as well and whole new areas of the city are build from scratch. It's truly breathtaking what is happening in Manchester right now.

I think, to increase its population etc., Manchester should merge with adjacent urban areas. Would this attract more investment up North? Building transport infrastructure to connect the entire rejoin could help rejuvenate the place, assuming they don't ship in a couple more millions of EU migrant workers.
Know doubt having to build upwards.or no green belt left to much like America on an old lndustrial estate but what was there before they build these high buildings you can make a place look pretty but you can't change the people who live there
And the towers they are putting up in the middle of all that are another 4 identical towers and two more twins. And a lighthouse tower. All the same height. Pathetic use of this space council should be ashamed giving the go ahead for a space that will just look like 1 building.

I look at it in a very positive light, however a lot of people seem to be critical on the amount skyscraper developments across the city.

It’s a valid point, it doesn’t have the same skyscraper diversity as other cities.
This looks a lot better. A bit of variety wouldn't hurt though.

Why are the skysraper all so dark in color or ist ist just a light effect
Possibly the time of night it was blue hour after the sun goes down with quite a lot of incandescent light from the the cranes etc
