We had C-130A models with three bladed props, out of Lockbourne AFB, back in 1970-71. Our pilots won many a bet with the National Guard swing and their F-100 fighters. We did that same climb but topped out at 10,000 ft before the F-100 got there. We weren't fast, but we could climb.
