the [Genius] class is just analogous with the [Expert] class from DND. It's not actually that good, because it's only for npcs and although it allows normal people to have skill level close to PCs powers, and it's wide spread with proficiencies, there's all most no reason (combat-wise) to take it as it give almost no spellcasting abilities or bonuses to fighting, at least nothing that wouldn't be super outclasses by any real PC classes
Players can gain any job class while in the game, the reason Ainz cannot use a sword is because he was a pure mage build when he transferred to the new world. This froze what he could learn. The new worlders can learn anything if they have the time, talent and drive. Otherwise Succulent wouldn’t be able to wield a blade and illusion magic
He took jobs in the fencer and illusionist class if I had to guess the fencer class would allow ypu to use smaller blades like rapiers, and short swords.

@@natetaylor9002 but ainz can technically use a sword. in the first novel he uses a "normal" sword as his dark warrior persona but drops it because there is only a high chance of it happing. it's one of the new rules of this world. also, most pure spellcasters don't use any weapons so it's hard to say that something similar wouldn't happen. as for normal low-level people i think that we have only seen them use things like spears, clubs, short swords and short bows. they in D&D classified simple weapons that anyone can use, a long sword is a martial weapon that needs training in.

Given that the games class lvl cap was 15 for base class 10 for advanced classes and 5 for expert classes. Does new world classes operate under the same restrictions or not? We don’t know explicitly.
Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the genius class. Ainz cant use a sword in the new world for the same reason he couldn't use one in Yggdrasil. That's not a new world rule its a Yggdrasil rule being enforced on him in the new world. There are plenty of examples of people in the new world being able to use weapons they have no levels for, for example all of carne village being able to use a bow prior to gaining any archery job class hamsuke was able to use full plate armor without any warrior levels (though it was stated that until she gained warrior levels the armor would impede her movement) As for who the other genius class holders are, we know Brain, Rener, Remedios and Nferia all have it. TL;DR: New worlders aren't restricted from using swords just because they dont have warrior levels. there was nothing stopping rener from using razors edge in the first place.
could be they can hold it, unlike ainz, but they aren't proficient in it. Renner swung the sword with enough proficiency that it impressed Climb. I'd imagine class lvl will grant proficiency. Thats the difference in her sometimes just carrying the sword awkwardly, and then actively trying to swing it (switching her genius lvl to a fighter class).
Base job classes max at 15 levels. High job classes max at 10 levels. Rare job classes max at 5 levels. I wonder what rare skills a level 30 genius would have.
@@mobbofmobs8937 Ainz can only use swords that 1) he creates with his 'create item' spells (it's his magic = allows him to use the item created) and 2) if he uses Perfect Warrior spell.
That's it!
*Oh, there was a magic blade in the Dwarven Vault that he could use, but he got distracted and forgot about it.
@@natetaylor9002 ainz did use a sword one time. in the first book he takes a normal sword and makes one swing. it falls out of his hands and decides that it was impractical, because every time he would attack there was a high chance happing again. it's in the amine but not explained well. otherwise, if the rules to literal he would have a difficult time just touching weapons. also, we seem to have drifted away from the topic of whether or not new Wolders can use any weapon.
I'm wondering when she XX with Climb, which class will she change to
Given that the games class lvl cap was 15 for base class 10 for advanced classes and 5 for expert classes.
Does new world classes operate under the same restrictions or not? We don’t know explicitly.
It's all up in the air with new worlders, especially with what we've seen of Brain.
Ainz can't weird swords not cause of his skills but the fact magic classes can not use martial weapons due to class restrictions.
Good job, Renny.
Schäägocks is literally my father 😩😩😩
I thought those dagger he had was clementine? She and folger enchanted them stronger
they were hers yes
Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the genius class.
Ainz cant use a sword in the new world for the same reason he couldn't use one in Yggdrasil. That's not a new world rule its a Yggdrasil rule being enforced on him in the new world. There are plenty of examples of people in the new world being able to use weapons they have no levels for,
for example all of carne village being able to use a bow prior to gaining any archery job class
hamsuke was able to use full plate armor without any warrior levels (though it was stated that until she gained warrior levels the armor would impede her movement)
As for who the other genius class holders are, we know Brain, Rener, Remedios and Nferia all have it.
TL;DR:
New worlders aren't restricted from using swords just because they dont have warrior levels. there was nothing stopping rener from using razors edge in the first place.
Perhaps Peasant or Farmer or whatever has basic proficiency in simple weapons.
could be they can hold it, unlike ainz, but they aren't proficient in it. Renner swung the sword with enough proficiency that it impressed Climb. I'd imagine class lvl will grant proficiency. Thats the difference in her sometimes just carrying the sword awkwardly, and then actively trying to swing it (switching her genius lvl to a fighter class).
She might have the proficiency given to her by her royal bloodline to wield her family's items?
I don't think its tied to bloodline even tho its an heirloom, because they gave it to a commoner to wield.
Base job classes max at 15 levels.
High job classes max at 10 levels.
Rare job classes max at 5 levels.
I wonder what rare skills a level 30 genius would have. When doppelgängers changes into a person there is a penalty placed on them. So I guess a genius would have a penalty placed on them, when they are fighting someone using the same skill.
Can't wait for the Episode tomorrow
She had to have strength to personally kill all those disrespectful Maids. I know the other Genius most certainly isn't PDL.
hu, wonder what is says under hobbies?????? wink wink, nudge nudge.
Arder dadi! Arder!
Why could Niferia wield any artefact again?
Because of his talent
Niferia was born with a special talent that lets him use any magic item without any of the requirements.
@@Dragon_Lair was it regardless of level and race as well?
@@beepboopbeepp think so, that's why Ainz and Nabe thought of his as extremely useful and dangerous, The thought of Him possibly being able to use the Staff of AOG was something Ainz was worried about
@@beepboopbeepp Yup. It's why he was targeted by Clementine after she betrayed the Slane Theocracy and the Black Scripture and stole that artifact.
what if the elf king was one of the holders of the genius skill and used that to somehow manipulate the strongest godkin ???
I know climb is not a wielder of the genius class so that is one less person that could possibly have genius class 💀
Pandora's actor must have the "genius" class
Tbh I think it should be nigh mandatory for him, and if a higher-class version of Genius exists, that would be another option for him to have
I think its just a similar (probably human variant) class to doppleganger.
bruh this class just sounds OP as fuck
master of none kinda
One of the holders of the genius class is probably the elven King
For now.
Elven king will probably be a former holder as Ainz has reached the elven kingdom
Do you think do you need class is just Jack of all trades
There is a way to actually count to 100 on two hands
How princess class can be common ? Is every girls father a king ?
You literally spent half the video on thanking people I don’t even know. Lol great info..
Also reading of names at the end must ruin your retention and watch time in the algorithm!
There has to be a better way that does not have a detrimental effect on the algorithm.
I think that potion making guy maybe idk
Do you ever go back and edit these videos? Some of this is incorrect
I would say maybe the emperor or fluder. Reigner has 5 levels in genius but I expect those 2 may only have 1-2 levels.
Renner's special skill: Everyone in Overlord is a moron except Demiurge. That's literally what the skill is.
And Albedo with Pandora's actor?
@@Essutos Their IQ collectively bottoms out whenever it comes to Ainz-sama. Especially when it comes to Pandora.
Renner's hobby💀
Sucks that the femboy maid had such a minor role.
In the anime, you mean.
Hey I recently used default TH-cam and realized your feed is bloated too hell with shorts. I may be the minority but I hate sifting through them. I'm just glad you don't spam 10 in a row.
I know you can make actual income on that stuff now so no hate. Just voicing my lack of interest in shorter content.
no dislikes wow
