As a young child I fell in love with John Constable’s beautiful paintings. My parents were from the UK and immigrated to Canada back in the early 50s. When we used to have evening tea Mom always used these beautiful place mats. Each one had a reproduction of a Constable painting of Flatford and the surrounding areas. I dreamed of someday being able to visit Flatford and experience the beautiful reality of a dream coming true. Finally, in 1978 my dream did become a reality. I moved to a little village near Braintree in Essex and remained for 23 years. I cannot recall the number of times we rowed back and forth between Flatford and Dedham over the years. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Thank you so much for the video. I can’t stop watching!
I have only recently discovered this delightful set of videos, and am hooked! Thanks for producing them, I really enjoy your narratives and you do a great job of capturing the essence of the place. I am an expat living in the USA, and watching these videos really makes me homesick.
