Same. I actually don't like DL the first time I heard it (just like all of her songs), but the more I listen to her songs, the more I love it. Until now, I'm still listening to sour. Also hope ur ok is such a great way to end the album. It just goes to show that no matter how difficult or sour her life is, or how bad her experiences are, there are people who have it much worse and she's proud of them for having the courage to unlearn people's hatred.
hope ur ok lyrics are pretty deep and is about the lgbtq hardship. when she says "wear long sleeve because his dad", based on what i gather, that boy in the song either is abused by his religious dad or cuts him self. At the outro of hope ur ok, the muffled convo is definitely between Olivia and her producer, Dan. My guess is it's the convo about how Olivia wants to redo the entire drivers license song all over again. There's a youtube interview video with New York Times on this song where they talked about re-recording the entire song because the tempo was too fast and Olivia was stressed out about it. Also, that beeping song at the outro is the same beeping sound at the beginning of drivers license.
