I just hope they keep the core idea of balance in theme. I just want stories that feel new and alien, yk? Like I need to feel like a different universe again
While I don't have much hope left with Disney's Star Wars, I just wish that the franchise would return to telling decent stories with fun characters instead of focusing on quantity over quality to hit quarterly earnings. The corporate focus on profit is in part why the franchise has had so many flops imo. It would also be nice if they would continue the legends/Expanded Universe stories which hold a dear place in my heart.
Wasn't episode 1 the most merchandised movie ever? The corporate side of star wars started way before Disney. You could even argue the ewoks were a business decision over story
When the Tusken Raiders were turned into a culture from Avatar, my last light went out. You're a true fan of Disney Star Wars. I hope your hope pays off, but really I don't care

Agreed! Those stories DID take place a long time ago in a far away galaxy, right? 😉

Exactly, the story is essential for the audience to connect and keep coming back. EU continuations would be amazing

True, merch has always been a big part of Star Wars and its marketing. But there was always a good story to back it up, which made people want to buy
"True star wars fans" are like "true Metallica fans" - the earlier they started hating them, the bigger fans they think they are

What sort of culture had they been previously in your summation
@@cat_and_cabbage4662 they were pirates of the desert, hence the raiders in the name
Well I can't wait for skeleton crew Mandolin and Grogu and don't care what anyone else thinks
Same, I can't wait to see what direction both go!
Well, I'm a fan, but, as far as I'm concerned, the Original Trilogy is the only works that are essential. Everything else is optional, at best.
That's definitely a valid opinion. The OT is the core 👍
This is the way

A dying franchise? Since 1977? 47 years ago? With Skeleton Crew and Andor Season 2 coming? You wish.
Yep, that's the point! Star Wars is never going to die 👍
why are you trying to attack fans?
