London and its outer areas are wonderful. You never see things like this area it’s all about Big Ben & all the more touristy places. Thanks for going the extra mile for us.
I have done this walk several times when I visited London. It's soo amazing. I live in Switzerland and I miss being able to visit London so much. Your videos at least let me have a glimpse of my favourite places and also many new ones I need to see for myself once travelling is a thing again ^^
That was a lovely tour down the canal I saw part 1 first and it was so scenic and definitely a hidden gem of London 👍😘🇬🇧 Could you do more canal tours around London and the UK?
Thanks again for watching, Johnny! We have a list of possible videos so will consider further canal walks :) If you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.
Thanks for watching so many videos, Claire! If you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please do share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.
As I recall there are two entrances on Lisson Grove, either side of the canal. The one on the north side of the canal is sometimes locked, which may have been the case when you visited. It is worth trying this one as there are lots of pretty plants etc along this part of the canal. I imagine they are put there by the owners of the barges.
You’re correct John. There are two entrances, the steeper slope leading to the canal boats is locked during the times it states on the notice/sign on the iron gate, this was always open when I was kid. Then the other slope that runs parallel to the Lisson Green Estate. Not as scary and horrible as people think. It’s great to show both, the council estate, where there is a grassed area with cute painted model canal boats, a nod to the canal, made by the residents on the estate then only a railway bridge away and you have the exceptionally affluent mansions. It’s worth showing the real London with the contrast of both.. every area of London is like it. Sinead was very diplomatic about Lisson Green estate though, ‘non eventful’ made me chuckle. I guess to some it’s not eventful and can seem scary and ugly, but it’s the reality of London. However the history of the railway before the estate was built in that area is very interesting

Hi Sinead, I love your tours and all the local info and history you sprinkle in. Would it be possible to do a virtual tour of the further reaches if the Regent Canal as well as the Grand Canal (hope I have the correct name) that extends out to Birmingham?
Owner of a canal boat and a narrowboat someone can correct me if I'm wrong but a barge is an unpowered craft apart from that absolutely fantastic videos thank you very much

What a stunningly beautiful canal, unfortunately spoiled by the mindless graffiti all along the route. So sad!!!😤😢
I don't feel like it's that beautiful doesn't hold a candle to the actual Venice though.
Probably not but not bad for being in the middle of Central London
I wish you'd stop saying ' barges ', they're called narrow boats.
