And here I thought I was the only one to see the parallels. Everybody keeps saying that Klance is dead, but it really isn't. There ARE klance hints in S6 guys. It's just not obvious. Have you noticed that the creators chose Lance to do a lot of things to Keith that others could have easily done? He was the first one to comment and compliment on his appearance (which is saying a lot, because most of the times Lance likes people for their appearance), he was also the first one to approach him in person (they were all lined up, Hunk being the nicest could have easily been the first to move, Pidge being the most interested in knowledge could have also been the first to move and ask questions, Shiro, even if a clone, was the most probable choice and could have easily been the first one to greet him, but they chose LANCE) and he looked hurt when he was shrugged off (and he really seemed to be looking forward for a hand lock or high five, just attention). Besides, now that he realized what liking somebody is about, he might figure out that all the attention he one-sidedly gave to Keith and their 'rivalry' wasn't exactly what he thought it was? The moment that really got my attention was when Allura hugs him. We all know he likes her. She thanked him for helping her. But he didn't blushed, never smiled, nor even a mix of the two or a small sad smile for her, he was just frowning even with her in his arms. But the moment Keith interrupts them, they both smile, but in case you haven't noticed, his smile is bigger than Allura's because he has upturned eyebrows, unlike her, who just looks satisfied. This is on Lance's part. Now, we all know that S6 was focused mostly on Keith or Keith and Shiro's relationship, but you can notice that almost everytime that Keith speaks, the next line of dialogue belongs to Lance, and usually when Keith is adressing groups, Lance's name always comes first in his respective group. Also, there were a lot of Allurance moments that were interrupted by or happened after a Keith cameo. Coincidence? I think not. KEEP YOUR HOPES HIGH. It will happen :} and if it doesn't, well, it might as well be canon with all the fanfics, fanart and comics out there. If you still don't believe, watch Fictional Crystals theories on them (she managed to guess that Lance would sacrifice himself 9 MONTHS ago. That's saying a lot)
People keep saying that Klance is dead, so I gotta remind them that everything has a timing. The characters just aren't ready yet. There's a certain level they need to be at. Besides, if you are feeling down, remember that their bonding moment was introduced to us with a romantic mood (dim light, soft colours and soft music, as they stared deeply into eachother's eyes, smiling and holding hands) when there was no nees for this. How about a simple thanks and a quick handlock, no? Could have worked as well. Also, that scene paralels the one with Hunk and Shay, who is viewd as a couple. THEY SUGARCOATED THE BONDING MOMENT. Why? That's why.
So Lance has to blush and smile because his HEARTBROKEN Love of his life is hugging him....do you not understand how shallow you're making such an important moment in their relationship. Ship Klance all you want, but that was a Great sign of Lance's maturity and here you are just saying because he didn't blush or smile while a CRYING ALLURA hugged him it somehow means he's over her? I cried so hard after watching this. S6 left me with a lot of mixed feelings and I've just drained some of them here. I loved how you matched every Keith and Lance's moment with Lance's introspection on his feelings for Allura, it just shows that he definitely has a type of people and how his unrequited attraction for Allura displays alongside with his unarticulated attraction for Keith. When he was expressing how he feels about Allura on s6e2 it makes such a huge contrast with what he said on his vlog. This is not loverboy Lance who's talking, he's not perfoming anymore. This is Lance, a simple boy who wants to be loved. That's why this season made me feel so distressed, I self-project a lot on this character, I found so much comfort in him that the fact he fell truly in love with someone for the first time but sadly it's unrequited makes me feel helpless. This may sound fucking ridiculous but I've never wanted to give a fictional character a hug as much as I want to now. His whole arc hurt me as fuck, he wasn't his happy self this season, I hope the writers know what they're doing. I'm very optimistic about Klance as well, by the way. The age thing is stupid and confusing (I just feel they made it that way to show how much Keith has grown as a character not only emotionally but also physically, besides, Lance likes the beef lol). And though I understand the concerning about Allurance, I don't feel like they're going that way, they made it clear Allura loves Lance but not the same way Lance loves Allura, they have such a great bond and cute relationship and I'm not at all discontented by the idea of the two of them being together (contrary to most of the fandom) if Lance is happy, so am I. But, storywise, it wouldn't feel climatic make Allura like Lance with what little remains in the show. Didn't people see how after Lance and Allura hugged, Keith interrupted them and Lance smiles cheerfully at him? (I mean, now they did, tysm for putting that scene here, it was a fave!) The way the scene is set up for me foreshadows Lance moving on from Allura to Keith. Like, really, the feelings are still there, their development hasn't been erased. Let's remember this show has an ensemble cast of 7 main characters, other relationships need to go under developing, there's a war going on, a story being unfold and still, Keith and Lance's relationship had the most constant development the first half of the show. Now they are going home, Keith has to settle down on the team, everybody needs to meet with their families, and we might see the team hanging out, maybe see Keith and Lance bonding, who knows? They're 26 episodes left, 26 chances. We might get our Laith, have faith! EDIT: WOOOOW! OVER 100 LIKES??? THANKS GUYS! :D Btw, Jeremy just watered our crops. According to him, Keith and Lance will "grow in a certain way" and now that it's been a week since s6 was released, I realized that Lance has a sword which he hasn't got the chance to use yet and there's only another swordfighter on the team who can help him train, and Black Paladin Keith/Red Paladin Lance dynamic is coming back soooooo s7 come through (I'll probably make another update after s7, I'm glad you liked this! I hope it can give you as much faith in Laith as it did with me^^)
Ok, so I realized there were parallels to klance from keith's mom and dad, but I never realized how many parallels there were this season. Like, oh my god. I've had hope for klance since the season ended, but it was still hard to have faith in with how they were pushing allurance. But now, I have so much more faith. That coupled with a short clip I saw on tumblr of Josh Keaton, and Bex Taylor-Klaus. Josh had said a lot of people might have been complaining about a certain "story point" early on, and that they can't give away the details, but to, just wait. He said a lot of things that people want to be dealt with will get dealt with in the show, and that the show was written as a slow burn. Bex then joined in by saying, and I quote "I think I'm going to agree with that, and that I was always have a taste for more queer in media, so. Just add some gay and I'm happy." First off, I just feel like this is hinting so much at klance. Second, I love Bex in this interview. xD

YES! You just said the main reason I prefer an ending where Lance & Allura don't end up together. To me, it would seem forced right now. On the more selfish end of why I want this: I am so down for more stories where women get to say no to a guy they don't like and have it be okay. The vibes that Allura has been putting out since the beginning in terms of a romance with Lance have seemed pretty negative to me and I support her in finding a romance of her own.
