Hi Melissa, love your content. Just wondering do you know how to set it so that the printer rolls back media after it performs a sheet cut? Or to roll back media before the start of the print? We currently are manually setting base line position before every print to reduce wasting media. Thx in advance
I'm not sure what you mean? If you do a sheet cut immediately after the print and cut, it should sheet cut at the spot where it's leaving the minimal amount of lead material for the next cut. Have you seen my videos on sheet cut? th-cam.com/video/yVHuzKNp5Oo/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for your content. I’ve followed your tutorials and seem to have an issue with my print & cut. I have the Roland BN20A2 and I have been desperately trying to perform a perfcut but have trouble doing so. In flexi, When I choose “print & cut” my printer prints the imagine and then stalls on cutting. When I choose “cut & print”, it prints and allows me to get a kiss cut but does not perform a perfcut. I’ve also tried your method of exporting it to Versaworks but it still does not work. Please help 🥲
Hi @Kelmiester-cq1vb, it would be easier to provide you the help you are requesting if you could please send an email with some additional information. Please provide as much info (including cut settings / exact material / screen grabs) as possible when emailing. My email can be found through the contact page on Silhouette School Blog www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/blog-page_9.html
I have an issue at times with the sticker not getting cut 100% through. For example if I cut a circle logo it only cuts it 98%. It’s very hard to finish the cut with my knife. Do you know if there’s anything in setting I need to do? Thank you
I’m having trouble with my machine getting to a point of cutting. It prints my designs perfect. Calibrated the machine perfect and it demonstrated it can cut accurately. The problem we are having is that the software or machine doesn’t read that the design is finished and ready to cut. The countdown goes all the way til 1 second left and just freezes there as the paper roll continues to go through the feed. This is the final step for us to be able to get this machine working for us so any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
@@SilhouetteSchool yes, we watched all your videos and followed your tips to add cut lines. We tried sending the job out of Flexi AND VersaWorks and they both do not complete the job. It just lags on the last second of the print and doesn’t move forward with the cut. We have adjusted both the blade and the print and cut adjustment settings too.
@@andymeissner8727 I think you are referring to the drying process. The material will slowly feed out until the end of your print area reaches the bottom of the drying plate, then retract and begin cutting if you have cuts in your project.
I need your videos, I want your videos, but Im sorry to have to say - please do some adjustments to your audio. It's so painful to listen to the audio in these videos. The mic is SO hot and saturated. Thanks for your content as I learn about the BN2 machines.
@@SilhouetteSchool you just need to drop the gain on your wireless mic. Or lower the input level into your camera. The videos are great but the audio makes it really hard to watch them.

Check the contour cut line (dancing ants) in Versaworks. Zoom into it and see if it goes all the way around.
Yes agreed! How do you add bleed in flexi?
After adding the Contour kiss change the distance in the box from 0.0 to a negative number for bleed.

@@j.rabbitcrafts yes that was the issue we found out thank you!!
Now I'm tempted!
Is there a discount code or free demo to try Flexi for the BN20?
No, FlexiDesigner for Roland/Versaworks is only available with the BN2 series and BY-20 DTF printer.

We do as much as we can, as best as we can for a 2 person team.
