A great aspect of the innies lobby arc is the literal fact every member broke their limits and achieved stronger forms to save Robin. they didn't power up out of anger or grief or even morals, they literally powered up for the singular purpose to make Robin safe and that just kills my heart
Enies Lobby guts me, because Robin's backstory is just a whirlwind of trauma and tragedy. Like seriously, the poor woman has *_suffered,_* and has become convinced the best she can do for people she cares about is to die to save them the trouble of her just existing. And despite everything, the Straw Hats effectively move heaven, hell, *and* earth to save her, and she finally has somewhere safe to live, with people who won't sell her out or abuse her just for living.
I love how Water Seven and the Ennies Lobby arcs really cemented the fact that once you join up with the straw hats, once Luffy declares you a member, you’re stuck with them. They really moved Heaven, Hell, and Earth just to save a woman who had joined them just a few weeks/ a month ago, and had tried to kill them because she was family, and they weren’t about to let her just die, come hell or high water. I’m sorry I just love the Straw Hat family dynamic-

I’ve been watching this over and over again and it’s made me realize the beauty of water 7 writing. Both Usopp and Robin were so wrapped up in their own goal of leaving the crew. Both having no idea about each other’s struggle until later. But both with just being how they are as people brought each other back to members of the crew. They fed off each other this arc without knowing it.
- the opening: Robin's hands, alone. The parallel to their encounter with Aokiji: this time her outstretched hand is met with an answer. someone hears her and cares - the way you just. PERFECTLY paced everything to hit that moment. when robin decides she wants to live and be free, when the music echoes that !!! and then the low rumbling build up afterward of the straw hats leaping into action! - I love the sketchy yet clean lines? I noticed especially during the straw hats fighting back toward the end how you strategically erase portions and fill areas in - its reminiscent of the manga's art while still being its own. LOVE how you draw Robin's eyes btw - her hat falling off when luffy saves her life... Man - spandam getting shot or blown up feels So satisfying here 🙏🙏 not just from an emotional perspective but an art one - USOPP AND ROBIN AT THE END. ue ue ue [sounds of crying] you just. You absolutely nailed it. 10/10

Looking back, Enis lobby might be one of the best arcs in One Piece. I used not to care for it because of how long it is but now none of that matters. Remembering Robin's redemption and the crew's determination to rescue her bumps up the arc in my l list.
Awwww another lovely tribute to Nico Robin! My personal fave character from one piece! She really had a horrible and cruel life before she found her found family and I'm so glad for her ahhhhhh let her be happy! I somehow did not see this when it was first posted in my feed for some reason but im glad i saw it now!
I love this video! I was already warming up to Usopp through water seven especially because he just showed his care for the things he considers important despite it being at the expense of his crew because of how important the going merry was to him. It would have been nice if he realized how much the rest of the crew cared too but that'd be a different story than what we have. Him helping in enis lobby as sniper king genuinely shot him up as my favorite character of the crew by a long shot. The way he listened to Luffy to shoot the world government flag without a shred of hesitation. The way he knew what he had to do after the quick talk with Sanji that lead him to protecting Robin just in time to not lose her. Maybe it was the realization that his crew needed him, maybe he just wanted to protect Robin, or maybe even he just wanted to keep his crew safe without any second thought after talking to him; No matter what it was, he saved her like a badass and after getting through nearly 600 chapters, no other arc comes close for any other character for me. Even before these arcs there were moments of Usopp being a stand up guy that I just didn't notice because I disliked him so much at the very beginning of the story. Usopp is a badass and I can't wait to see what else he does.
What I love most about Usopp is that he freely admits that he's scared, but he doesn't ever, EVER let that get in the way of what matters to him. He fully realizes that he's a normal person going up against superhumans, most of the time, and he still manages to put his terror aside in order to pull through for his found family, with a wisecrack on his lips, every time. Such an awesome character
@@milsharkie 100% agreed. I hated Usopp when I was introduced to him but now that I like him, while he was introduced poorly, he was still a pretty good guy in the beginning. Being terrified of standing up against pirates but very much wanting to do so anyways, even if it meant doing it alone. Him rescuing nami and staying behind to help sanji against eneru in skypeia was probably the moment that I started to really come around to Usopp. My favorite strawhat by far.
This made me fully break down sobbing. This was so so good. The pacing and the moments you chose to show was perfect and it all just elevated the events of Enies Lobby and further emphasized the love they have for each other and the first part also made me feel Robin's loneliness much more. This is just so good
A moment i love that i don't hear about often is how ready Robin was to die in Alabasta and when she tried to tell Luffy as much he basically just replied with You aren't the boss of me!
i really loved your animations warmed my heart, one piece is one of the few that although has a problem with objetification and male gaze also brings such rich background for each female character is really amazing.
The show makes it seem like brainwashing when Robin passes Blueno in Water 7 but I feel like she was already ready to get caught after Aokiji showed up
