Zamasu's VA really shines in this episode. The animation was crazy and i loves the themes throughout the entire arc about mortals and gods.
He came a long way from being Piccolo in DragonBall Evolution.

@@roger.d.michael2104 Vegito is Vegito's incorrect name, His accurate name is Vegerot, Because "Vegetto" / "Vegito" makes no sense.
Though Vegetto is supposed to be the combination of Vegeta and Kakarotto (Goku's japanese saiyan name), "Vege-tto", His name has been changed to Vegerot in the manga instead of giving people this long translation error speech.
And then the next one is a load of bs

We have hit the halfway point of the series (66/131), and this episode has a lot to love:
-Goku’s arm breaking beam struggle + kaio-kick
-the clash of fusions w/ Vegito’s sass
-Trunks’ slice and dice finisher
And something I came to appreciate this watch through…
-Zamasu’s lines and how top tier Marsters did with his performance
63-66 was my favorite stretch of Super, this final tag team showdown in the future timeline was so much fun to watch again. Excellent way to end the arc…or is it?

Since the attack that Trunks used looked uncanny to the Spirit Bomb, it's name is "Spirit Sword".
Its "sword of hope"
Spirit Sword, ironically, is the yellow energy blade that Vegito/Vegetto used in his fights with Buu and Zamasu
The reason Zamasu reacted to goku using kaioken, is because Zamasu was North Kai, (he was basically the king kai of Universe 10.) So he is familiar to Kaioken.
Vegetto only faces "immortal" enemies if you stop to think about it

It's weird at the same time too cause you would think gogeta would be stronger to fight immortal enemies. I do get that the fusion dance would take some time to mastery in time but it would've given an easier time with have to worry running out of time to defuse
Fusions are overrated. Sure they're strong, but canonically not a single one has ever defeated an antagonist.

Gotta be one of my favourite episodes in whole DBS, Goku overpowering Zamasu's attach, Vegitos Return + Final Kamehameha and Trunks finishing of Zamasu, just everything about this episode is great!
Seeing thid episode again made me realize how much more can we get for us dokkan battle players in terms of animation and I really hope they will not disappoint with the voices acting
Hey Jack here is the answer about Vegito using an energy blade like Zamasu.
The eneegy blade is created from spirit energy. Goku as a kid had a little experience using spirit energy to separate a waterfall with only the energy. As Vegito he is able to create a sword beam that is basically like a steady Ki blast in sword form. Same thing he used on Buu during the Kakarot playthrough. Spirit Sword.
I really can't wait for the next episode. His reaction will definitely be interesting.

@dreamleaf552 they should've ended it here, to be honest. Next episode couldve wrapped things up. Summoning Zeno just to destroy Zamasu with just a click of a button took it out for me.
I love how legitimately hyped over this series Jack has become.
03:50 honestly, I never had a problem with this explanation like how a lot of the fandom did, because it's basically Toriyama explaining his own retcon that he did in the Buu arc when we were told that the Potara Fusion is permanentm but Vegitto defused inside Buu and then we never got a proper explanation that makes sense
It also makes sense how Gowasu is aware of this. Since he is an older supreme Kai and knows more about these things than Shin or Elder from universe 7.

Fused Zamasu is like top 3 voices in dbs. So much comebacks, lines, and the double voice makes it better.
Goku is a damn monster in terms of growth rate. Man grew enough to overpower FUSED Zamasu while he was Black level.
He grew nearly fusion level just while fighting.

after this arc, I completely forgave James Marsters for his contribution to DragonBall Evolution, the man earned it imo
James did the live action movie because he loves the series and his acting was fine. It was the movie and dialog that frankly sucked. Personally, I largely blame 20th Century Fox for it.
@@DavidRomigJr I know, I don't have a problem with his depiction of Picollo in DB Evolution, i read somewhere tooo that the director of the movie wanted turn Picollo purple instead of green, but James disagreed, all I'm saying his performance in DBS as Zamasu completely wipes his slate clean with his history in Dragonball Evolution
Zamasu got the reverse Frieza treatment. I say that because Trunks cut Frieza in half from top to bottom, and with Zamasu Trunks cut him in half from bottom to top.

Trunks' ls sword is called the Spirit Sword, like the Spirit Bomb but as a sword is what people say it is.
What I find fun is how in the OG Manga Vegito went SSJ straight away but the anime proved his base was more than enough and in Super they did a flip flop: the anime used SSB right away whereas the manga proved base was enough.
Just a reminder that manga Vegito absolutely embarrassed Zamasu before their time ran out, it was basically a bullying incident
Storywise, this should've been where the arc ended. If it did, the future trunks arc would've been the best one in super hands down

Although it would have been cool. It wouldn't make sense if it did. Zamasu couldn't be immortal jf he wasn't well immortal. Zamasu is a problem greater than Cell. And because he wished for his power it's a battle of ideas. Zeno and how Zamasu had to be defeated were also foreshadowed throughout the arc as well. Trunks wondered what would happen if they blew up everything of Zamasu and Zeno was talked about being the most powerful and hakai being above specific concepts
@@AstraFulminousTrunks having a Spirit Sword, Trunks catching up to Blue levels of power, and the retcon on Potara fusion already stretched anything making sense. It would have at least been narratively cohesive and satisfying if they had Trunks win the battle, and for them to seal him or have him being erased on his own. The way it ended was both unsatisfying and completely made everything in the arc ultimatum pointless since we went back and forth so many times for no payoff.

In my opinion the arc should have ended here..what happens next episode is not that satisfying ending for a really cool arc like this one, the very last scene is an emotional one tho. The Vegito VS Zamasu fight was insane and really well animated, but there are a couple of even better fights next arc, you have no idea!!

While several people have already pointed out that the spirit bomb sword is called Sword of Hope (Vegito's was already called Spirit Sword), the version before he absorbed the Spirit Bomb is called the Light Sword.

The reason Vegetto's name is spelled like that is because its the fusion of both names, but for goku its is sayan name wich in japanese would be Kakarot or how they say it" Kakarotto".

IT's funny because i'm as big a DBZ fan as anyone else, but for whatever reason i've never caught it as it came out. Like I learned about DBZ randomly because somebody bought me the revenge of cooler vhs when i was a kid.. fucking was so intrigued by it but back then there was no real way to watch the episodes.. then eventually the internet popped up (the modern internet) and in like 2006-2007 ish I finally found a website that had every dbz episode on it, and I binged the entire series in less than a week lmao.
Then, when Super came out I had no idea it even came out because at the time, I was extremely preoccupied with my now Ex girlfriend, and a terrible job that had me work 60-70 hours/week.. and then I finally heard about it on the internet I think 2 years ago ish, and binged the entire thing and the movies xD.
Yeah that was amazing...
But 7 Years? Damn I feel old.
