So glad to see D_Drive getting some love! They are one of my favorite bands. The Maximum Impact album is just brilliant and I can't recommend it enough!
I think it's official now. With all the great bands coming out of Japan, the music Yoyoka is putting out with all the great musicians she plays with and with bands like The Warning and Great Van Fleet... Rock is definitely one-hundred percent _NOT_ dead _!!!_
My personal impression is that women have their brains wired a bit differently, which makes them better drummers overall. Akane, Kanade Sato, Chiiko... and even the little girl Sora covering BAND-MAID at an amazing level... They have some very unusual ways of thinking, and their drum patterns are very different from what the male drummers come up with.
@@5Melig Senri Kawaguchi was typed initially into this list as well. But then I deleted her. She's an amazing drummer, but she does not have that different brain wiring as the others in this list. It's not the list of *the best drummers* , it's the list of *different* drummers. I can't formulate it precisely, what is it that is different about them, but I do feel they are different.
@@VladimirChupin Can't disagree with this. Andrew Rooney Drums (Drum Teacher you probably know) has basically said that he notices that his girl students, just get things that the boys struggle with.
@@VladimirChupin Think I have a vague idea what you mean, combination of sound and rythm. Senri Kawaguchi is a very original drummer, but the effect is different. BTW I meant Haruna.
Great reaction, Wave! BTW, the current bass player, Toshi, was not the original bass player of the band. The original bass player was named Shimataro, and he left in 2018. Looking at a video of the original band members in concert I could see that the use of lit-up fretboard inlays was like a band uniform back then (although the location of lights on Shimataro's bass fretboard followed a radically different pattern than that used by the guitarists). I haven't seen Toshi ever use lit-up inlays, however, and it seems that Seiji now only sometimes has them.

When this girl drums she reminds me of Akane's complex patterns. AWESOME! This band is very cool, a unique sound all around.

@@WavePotter Someone corrected me about Shintaro's death, so apparently he only left the band, rather than died, in 2018.

Sounds like you have a spectrum analyzer app on your iphone/android (unless you have a standalone. I would be jealous :)
I added a 6db narrow scoop to 15270. You were spot on! It must be my usb interface, but there was a huge spike at that frequency somehow.
