    Unlike the audiophiliac, I like the way that your viewers send in detailed perspective of their systems.

    Really enjoy viewer system content
    I like the range of components and the “Why” of how they got there
    It never hurts to see higher end systems with $70k cables, but also don’t dismiss super budget systems as we all start somewhere
    This is a good format for viewer systems

    Great Fun! ❤LOVED❤ Frenchy's system and his Explanation of his evolution. REALLY COOL!
    One thing that always makes me CRAZY (I see this on The Audiophiliac’s "Viewers' Systems" all the time!), is when people have $1000s & $1000s of dollars worth of gear and they have their speakers jammed up against a wall between cabinets etc…or worse in a cabinet…This completely defeats any sound stage and quality bass…It’s a whole BETTER WORLD 🌎 with the speakers pulled out into the room!!! 😮I think that the majority in the hobby do this, from what I have seen? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
    I never shoot video 🎥🎬…EVER…but…I may give this a shot……THANKS Guido! 👍🏼😀

    Really another superb video. I love the Diy speakers from the mate in France👍🏻. The Tapehead from the UK has some very nice decks. Me as a Tapehead, too, love those machines. The Sansui is absolutely TOP🤗.
    But all systems are great. The big JBLs and the Tannoys are adorable, too. Sad my room is too small for such monsters.
    Go ahead guys, show your stuff, I love it✌🏻

    Hello Guido, thank you very much for your very friendly response to my contribution, that was very good! Just a small addition, I didn't develop this speaker, I just built it: It's an open source project called Spiecker&Martin Monitor#Eins. Many thanks and I'm really looking forward to further episodes. Only the best Sammy

      Thanks very much, it is mine! I’ve been massively into music for as long as I can remember. I tend to keep components if they work for me. The whole system is very enjoyable to my ears, maybe not what is called transparent but is inviting, effortless and musical.
      All the best to you.
      And thanks Guido for showing it, it’s really quite a thrill ❤

    My Dad has an amazing setup that consists of the original Marantz CD-73 from 1983, Marantz amp from the same period (not sure of the model) and those are are driving an original pair of Kef Concerto's from the late 70's... and the sound is amazing and would be ten times better if he had a big enough room to drive them in and position them properly.
    Edit: by the way I consider the Marantz CD-73 to be the closest thing to a Hifi system work of Art, and the construction is astounding.

    Another great viewer systems video! Thanks. Situation comedies are very popular on American TV; and a big part of their appeal is we get to see how other people live and what they do, inside their homes mostly. Well, now we get to see what audiophiles do inside their homes, and what they have, and how they have it set up. I would think the French guys system, is the one I'd have most liked to hear; all things considered, including the room treatment. Almost all the videos so far shown, show major room compromises as far as side wall distance from the speakers. A shame. Many show rear wall compromises too. I had to move my speakers out from the windowed wall behind thenm 6 and a half feet before the sound got to where I could stand it. And it still affects it very slightly Glass is the worst thing for acoustics and it can sound like finger nails on a chalkboard.
    Acousticians will also tell you that enclosed or partially enclosed things in the room, play havoc with the sound. Sound waves getting under tables, inside fireplace openings etc. The one guy with a fireplace brings up an interesting question. Even though most of the smoke goes directly upward, smoke does get into the room too. Just how much sonic degradation does smoke getting to your equipment make? I'm sure that's a question that is not even accurately answerable since smoke gets inside your equipment, not just making it to the terminals on back of your electronics and the connectors. If you have ported speakers the smoke gets to absolutely everything in there too. Plus smoke degradation is gradual and cumulative. Smoke is the reason I make hamburgers maybe 5 times a year instead of 50. Every time I do cooking where there's smoke, I play a cd the same night, and then after close listening, I play a cd lens cleaning cd and then play the cd again. There is always noticeably better sound after the laaer lens cleaning. I'm a little lazy about cleaning my input terminals and cable connectors. Years go by I think, instead of the recommended every 6 months. But there is always a big improvement in sound quality when I do get around to it.
    The guy with the cassette decks knows what he's doing. Some of Sansui's cassette decks were really good. Pioneer too, and yes some Pioneers do beat a lot of Nakamichi's. Nakamichi has become synonymous with "ultimate" as far as cassette decks; with less than experts and that's not true. Very overrated. Some of them have a very boring euphonic sound compared to Tandberg and others. Nak's budget model I once compared to a model 4 times more expensive in it's line, and the budget model had the flatter frequency response by far in the midrange. I do a 50 step mod on my cassette decks. Everything improves dramatically, including their instrument size, which leans toward being small, and their transient response which tends to be on the slow side. Tape is not as pure sounding as first class cd playback, but just like tube amps which are not the ultimate in purity, tapes timbre is so likeable anyway. I think likeable timbre has more to do with natural harmonic overtone structure, than that last bit of purity of sound. Tape just has such a nice smooth liquid sound.

    Hi Guido***
    I Like Some Or These Stereo Systems and They Are Awesome and I Remember When I Got My First Direct Drive Turntable and it Was An Pioneer PL-400 Quartz Lock and it Cost over $200 Dollars at A Gemco Store and it was 1983 and I was 22 Years Old and My Stereo Amp Was an Sansui A-60 and it sounded Good But The Phono Preamp Was Weak and The Pioneer That Had The Same Look Sounded Better it Was an Pioneer SA-5800 and What's Funny One of My Friends Had The Same Pioneer SA-5800 and I Got it For Free!!!!
    My First 45 Speed 7 inch Record That I Bought in 1982 Was In the Navy By The Village People****
    By the Way I Got My 2 Preamps That Have XLR Outputs Sounds Good on My 2 78rpm Turntables and They Are Pioneer PL-200 Turntables and It Sound Good Guido!!!

    You’ve said it repeatedly, so why can’t people follow directions. Keep it brief. If you want to demo the system, use the supplied files. I find the lack compliance with these simple instructions to be incredibly frustrating and it makes watching such videos very difficult. Maybe you should edit or filter these videos more liberally and only show the ones that comply with the required parameters.

    • @anadialog
      @anadialog  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, you are right. I will probably get more and more strict on this since there is a large number of videos waiting in line.

    • @Laura_r53
      @Laura_r53 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hi-fi show is pretty crazy though, I really like how you let people post their own videos about their audio systems. The audiophiliacs viewer system of the day is also cool, but yours has a more interesting dynamic to it. Just keep doing the series and I’m sure it’ll slowly evolve into something even greater. As for people not following instructions, you can easily just skip people’s video request if they don’t meet the proper requirements until they edit and resubmit and wait their turn until you get the chance to review em again.
