Why do we deserve it? Honest question, because I don't think anyone does, really. I enjoy watching these vicariously, but I could never justify spending so much money on myself, just for hedonic kicks. It's so empty. If everyone thought a bit more carefully about where their resources were going, we wouldn't be in this environmental and social catastrophe.

Your vids helped me through the initial stages of lockdown as i viewed them for escapism and peace of mind.
Regardless of affordability, the vids show us what these places are like without having to splash out the £€$ to actually go there, and for that i thank you.
My personal favs are Soneva hotels/resorts. 👍

The only thing about these Maldives islands is that you may have to take a small boat or plane that will guarantee you sea sickness to get you to your hotel. Many years ago I chose a particular Club Med location to go to that was not too far away from the capital and transit point of Mali. It was not as nice as Soneva Jani but it was still spectacular.

All the hotels are breathtaking and I love how remote they feel! My favourite vacations are when I'm away from cities, secluded and surrounded by nature (especially quiet stunning beaches).🌸🌴🌺 I also love going to Provence (my native land) and spend some quality time with my family enjoying the surroundings and the songs of the cicadas!

Yes The Datai is special abt design, location but in my opinion is lacks in service. I have been there three times. Each time there have been service issues n each time questionable items on the check out bill. Lots of arguments. I would say the hardware is excellent but there are minor software problems. I would still recommend it, but not list it among my top 10 list!

Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles(a Dorchester property)is probably one of the very best(in the Top 3) in the United States. The furnishings, fabrics, lighting, bedding, fittings, and fixtures used the rooms and suites is in the as "good as it gets" for a hotel in the United States.

A touch of the 'advertorial' about some of these films I think and I prefer a no shoes no news ambiance so the Zanzibar and Madagascar hotels would be my choices. But I hadn't see the South African safari lodge before and that may well creep onto my bucket list :-)

I really enjoy watching your videos and aiming to get to visit some, this one puts them into your preferences but I am hoping you could also do one which looks at top 10 luxury resorts for families. From what I have seen only Senova Fushi and Seychelles are where you have taken your kids. Having two teenagers of different genders, finding somewhere that has accommodation (3 bedrooms) and amenities to cater for kids is challenging, your views would be appreciated.

I was the first guest of the year at the Caruso and just came back a few days ago. I highly recommend the property to eveyone, u prob. can't get a better Italian experience than there. The views from the pool are breathtaking and the service goes beyond the stay, they also do the PCR Test on site, which made the trip to Italy less challanging. If you are looking for a stay, I would recommend you to stay as soon as possible or after the main season as Amalficoast gets really busy during peek season and you don't need to worry as the pool is heated. Also I would suggest you to book atleast a Deluxe Sea View Room or higher, they worth 200% their money, not only because of the room size and the beauftiful furniture, the main aspects for me are the high ceilings and the big terraces with superb views of Minori,Maiori and the ocean which invites for an amazing breakfast. If you stay you should consider booking with Grand Luxury Hotels (like i did) or via any other agencys which will add up the experience. Last I can also suggest, if you plan a Trip around the coast to stay at the Le Sirenuse in Positano which is also another secluded world and an amazing Hotel.

I wish that Operyland Hotel was on this list. But maybe some day the luxury travel expered can come visit here in Nashville Tennessee. Get the Dolly Parson's room where she stays in when she's here for whatever reason. And your living in luxury for sure the room is huge! With a big bar and a huge kitchen with a few half bathrooms and a huge master bathroom. It has a grand piano and a big living room and so many places in the room to stay in. You will be amazed if you could come here and stay in Dolly Parson's suit at Operyland Hotel.

I‘ve not seen so many luxury hotels, but my favorite city hotel is The Upper House Hong Kong and my favorite beach resort The Sanchaya Bintan.

My favourite hotel is Denis Island in the Seychelles. We were lucky to go there twice but it's now well out of our budget range.

Thank you for sharing those places with me, and even though I get caught up in your superb presentations
and for a moment feel the yearn in my heart to visit all or any of them,
reality sets in and as I sit here looking out the window of our apartment in Ferndale, Wa. and seeing Mt. Baker looming 30 miles to the east across a green landscape, ,I know my Luxury Hotel will always be my home.
    Cheers,
    Rik Spector

Well Traveler, 2 of my favorites hit the list: Zighy Bay Oman and Sveti Stefan. Two Santorini hotels did not make the list this time. Hope you are well. Say hello to Henrik and Olivia for me.

So sorry I'm late again, Dr. LTE, but I have a good excuse--I had eye surgery 2 weeks ago. I have glaucoma and the pressure in my optic nerve went sky high. Luckily, a routine visit to my opthamologist caught the problem in time. Still a little blurry but getting better. Anyway, most, if not all, of your top ten list have been on mine, too--however my list kept changing so much I gave up :) I was very pleased to see North Island was your No. 2 pick--that, and Malawane, are still my favorites. Very relaxing to watch this video so my right eye and I thank you. I hope you are doing well. California is trying the "anything goes" approach (if you're vaxxed) and the "honor system" (if you're not). I'm still gonna mask up at the grocery store, etc. Well, time to put in another gallon of eye drops and go to bed. I look forward to your next video, as always, and take extra good care of yourself!
