Bringing Kirby back was great. I think I red something that craven didnt show if she really died in part 4, because he had a plan to bring her back, if he had the chance for another scream movie.
Wes Craven's original plan was for Jill to survive Scream 4 and go to college with Kirby in Scream 5. A Ghostface stalks Jill and reveals that they know her secret. Sidney would have been a teacher on the same campus. But the hospital ending scene would have to be removed and the final scene would be when Jill is wheeled away on the stretcher from her house as the 'hero'. Sidney does not remember what Jill did due to amnesia apparently.
I love, love, love this one!! It's so good and had moments that truly surprised me. I didn't fall in love with 5 immediately, because a lot of it felt predictable to me, but this one? This one was different from that very first scene. I correctly guessed the killers early on, but the rest was a mystery to me. I enjoyed all the parallels to Scream 2, including how it ends in a theater, and to Scream, like Sam putting on Billy's costume and calling the killer, just like Sidney did. Those little things excite me. There are also a number of small moments and sequences that I saw as connections to other movies (Jurassic Park), shows (Scream: The TV Series), and even real-life (the internet world turning on a victim; we all watched that happen just a year ago). I thought that aspect was cool. Oh, and best of all, Gale lived!! She's my fave. I also really like Sam now. I never thought I'd like her, but now I kind of love her. And she deserves significant kudos for ensuring that every single stab to Bailey counted by avoiding his bullet-proof vest. One thing I found interesting with this movie is that I thought I would hate it because Sidney wasn't in it, but honestly? I think it was better without her because I didn't have to worry about her safety, and I could focus on finding some love for the new bunch. In the end, my only problem with this movie (also a problem in the last one) is the medical side of things (people running around after being stabbed and not even being in pain, people surviving with no explanation); but I got over it. I just wish that part was a little realistic, as it always seemed to be with Dewey, Gale and Sidney's wounds. They always acted like they were in pain. I just know that no matter how much drugs are pumped into me, I am not leaving the hospital and running over to that theater like Mindy did. 😂 I really hope that Scream 7 will be a winter one. It is all I've ever wanted for a Scream setting. The blood against the snow would make for some great scenes. Note: The cute neighbor boy didn't have all their numbers, he airdropped the photo to them.
Exactly ❤ and sidney not being in it makes sense with the killers wantig sam becaus they were richies family. And her not being there gave us more time with the core four and their chemistry on ond off screen is awesome 😄
I thought the exact same thing for Scream 7. During the winter time, lots of snow on the ground, can be snowing too. Can be around Christmas time with Christmas trees around. I can just imagine ghostface chasing characters in the snow, characters falling through an icy pond into the freezing water.
I love your guys reactions and i’m so stoked to see this right now. I’ve been binging your guys videos the past week. I’m recovering from a septoplasty and my oxycodone and your channel is really helping!
I just saw an interview the other day, that Stu was going to be the killer in scream 3. Mathew Lillard actually was paid to be in scream 3, they changed the story to Roman because Columbine had just happened when scream 3 was going to be filmed.
at the end of Scream 5 she said she wasnt going to write about Amber and Richie instead she was going to write about a former sheriff of this town in the city he loved aka Dewey however she didnt write about his life she wrote about the killers instead which made them famous which is what she wanted that is why they are mad i would be too
I really liked the fact that there were 3 Ghostfaces as the Main Killers (first time ever in the franchise) in this Movie. I know that Kevin Williamson (he and Wes Craven created the "Scream" Franchise, he wrote the scripts for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th "Scream" Movies and was an Executive Producer on the 5th and 6th Movies) had wanted to do a "Scream" Movie in which the Main Killers were 3 Ghostfaces but he couldn't figure out how to make it work in a way that would be believable to audiences.
It was a total of 5 actually because the first 2 in opening. The copycats. So it was brilliant. At first I thought this movie was gonna have like 7 or 8 killers that would be bonkers but it would have to make sense.
It was so hard not to say anything to my sister when in the theatre when I figured it out. But I did doubt it and didn’t see Ethan coming. I really enjoyed myself as I watched this. It was so long that I’ve been in a theatre, I was bobbing and weaving in my seat.
Now I've had some push back on this, but, I still stand by it: They're trying to make it seem like Sam is going to follow in Billy's footsteps, and become Ghostface herself. I think it's a misdirect. I think it's Tara that becomes Ghostface. Not sure why or what drives her to snap, just that she does. My reasoning: the way she smiled and took her time, when stabbing Ethan, suggests that she REALLY enjoyed it - she savored it; SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind being the love interest, and SCREAM VI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind being a parent of the last mastermind killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling (Sidney's half-brother, Roman Bridger) of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.
I forget if I've replied to you before on other reactions or not, haha. While I love the idea, I hope it isn't the case because it feels like it would be played out at that point. Though I wasn't connecting it to Scream 2 at the time, I tripled-down on Quinn the second she mentioned her dead brother, so that was a major contributor to some of my cons to the film. It seems extremely hard to have Tara be the next Ghostface while still being subversive.
Literally never occurred to me til right before Mr. Movies said it, but how and WHY WOULD "cute boy" have all their numbers to alert them Ghostface was in the apartment?
You guys should consider watching 1408 and Rose Red (both Stephen King ) also, Kidnap (halle berry) , the call, Cinderella man (true story about boxer during the great depression) and lastly, The Bay (2013 i believe!)
The mountain's name is indeed peruvian, it's call the Artesonraju but it serves only as inspiration for the newest paramount ones... before that it was a mountain near Ogden, Utah that was painted by hand by Ben Lomond.
Idk if you know this but anytime after a Scream movie besides the third one, if the flash of Ghostface is shown before the credits it was Wes Craven telling the audience that there will be another Scream movie.
Hayden Panettiere looks a bit different because she's 12, 13 years older lol. She might have had something done but imo it's nothing noticeable. I think her features look the same. She's just older. Anyway, this has become my favorite movie in the franchise. I prefered this alot more to the 5th one.
There are nods and mirrors to things in Scream 2 in this movie like the bodega shelf toppling over on Ghostface in this movie to Gale pushing the shelf case in front of the door when she was chased in Scream 2. Also the chase scene with Gale in this movie where she is behind the pillar also mirrors when Sidney uses the pillar on stage in the final act of Scream 2 to ram Ghostface into it. Also the van scene in the park clearly mirrors the Randy death scene in Scream 2.
Conspiracy has it the girl playing Sydney in stab whatever in scream 3 was supposed to be the 2nd killer but was caught changing into her outfit by Sydney in the bathroom and that's why roman killed her because she fucked up
It’s funny you mention Mission Impossible, because the therapist in this movie was in the first, and most recent, MI movies. Fun little accidental 6 Degrees of Separation moment
It’s a good idea to keep talking to the killer on the phone because it guarantees that the person isn’t standing right next to you. Doesn’t really apply to these cuz it’s here’s always another killer tho lol
When Sam is the killer in the next one I won’t even be mad. They’ve done a pretty decent job laying the groundwork for it to be a plausible path her character takes.
If Chad can survive, so can Stu.🤓 if they bring back Stu in Scream 7, it'll be a cash cow. The actor Matthew Lillard who played Stu can pull off psycho even better at his current age. 😎
Too bad this movie doesn’t commit to killing characters. Nobody except for the killers die after the one hour mark. Chad surviving for instance, sniffs out most of the stakes on a rewatch.
If you notice they only refer to Sidney’s brother from 3 as Roman Bridger and director. In world no one was ever told that it was her brother. At least no one official.
I love this movie so much and seeing Samara Weaving here was a sutrprise. She is the one that stars in the movie Ready or not which by the way was directed by both these directors and done before they became the new directors of scream. The next one might actually have Sydney back in it because it's a new director (the one that did the movies Happy Death Day and Freaky) and that worries me slightly. Also who knows they might have Stu back as the killer this time. Samara Weaving is also the neice of Hugo Weaving the actor of Agent Smith in the Matrix movies which is interesting. I always knew what the motive would be from the beeginning and I always suspected Ethan and the cop but Quinn was a surprise for me,mostly because I never expected that actress to play a killer. Love that they made Chad the new Dewy and thus he will survive what seems like impossible attacks to survive from haha. Nice reactions as always guys and I loved seeing this one in the theaters on the big screen.
I actually enjoyed this movie (and Scream 5) and thought having the whole scenario of psycho-killer in ghostface mask in the big city was a bit of a trip. It's modernized, and there are a ton of misdirections and jump scares. I can't get over the survival rate for a 7 inch blade buried into your guts, but I still had a good time with this. Thanks for the reaction!
return of the living dead is my favorite horror movie for sure been commenting for awhile that yall should watch it lol great video and have to agree this ghostface seemed way more brutal and scary
i love this scream, i think it's a great movie. I love how dark radio silence made scream 5 and 6. i'm sad they won't be back for scream 7 but i think it'll be in good hands. the core four characters developed A LOT in this movie and i really liked them all. Sams darker arc was great also, the black hair, the black nails, the black or darker clothes. Also they kept it out of the movie but radio silence says there is a deleted scene from the movie or script that talks about how ethan and quinn killing their mom.
Kirby references the rumors that Stu might be alive. Apparently there was originally supposed to be a mid-credits scene in the original movie, showing Stu in an insane asylum.
At this point, it would not be a good idea for them to bring back Stu and have him be the killer in "Scream 7". There are so many people now who want to see him come back that if he did come back and he was the killer in the 7th Movie then it will have been predictable and it would also have killed 1 of the most fun things about the "Scream" Movies which is trying to figure out who the killer or killers are.
I dont think Stu is still alive. I think the movies dropping rumors that he's still alive is just the movie being meta and making a nod to people making up fan theories. I mean the directors of this movie and of 5 actually recreated the whole scene of Stu's death and were basically like "yeah he's dead."
Ugh I’ve been waiting for this reaction. I really loved scream 6 it’s not perfect it has its issues but compared to scream 5 this was such an improvement in multiple ways. Opening 10/10, gory deaths (3 standouts), great chase/tense sequences, connecting the franchise with the museum/the murder board talking about the previous killers that aren’t billy and Stu for the first time, I was pretty scared I screamed a lot but I was so tense during this movie sm especially during Gale’s sequence the moment that glass went in her I screamed so loud. The franchise has yet to miss with me I love all these movies.
Two 3rds were pretty good but the 3rd act causes the entire movie to fall apart creating massive plot holes, plot conveniences and insane plot armor and the new rules are garbage! but at least we didn't have to watch a legacy character die in a garbage way!
@@entertainmentwizard2703 yeah that’s pretty much where the big issues lie but I’ve slowly been able to ignore them not all of them (cringe acting, ppl acting like stabs are nothing, Bailey charging at Sam with a gun) but some of the problems really don’t bother me anymore.
Completely random I know, but I've seen Face/Off too many times.. and the part where they show Nic Cage as Castor Troy, is actually from a point in the movie that it's actually Sean Archer in Castor's face
I think the masks they were leaving behind weren't the ones they were wearing during those killings since the masks they all had on looked older and more beat up. Even Ethan and Quinn said that theirs belonged to Nancy Loomis and Stu Macher so the masks they left behind on the crime scenes were of ghostfaces that came after the second movie (Richie, Roman, and Charlie I believe)
Ghostface called Gail in Scream 2 but Randy was the one who answered her phone resulting in his death. Mickey got knocked out in Scream 2 after the car crash.
Scream 7 is happening radio silence is writing and producing but not directing the guy who directed freaky and happy death day is directing this time. It'll be the final chapter Neve commented saying she can't say anything about this one which means she's in talks to return Courtney is returning as well as the core four of course.
Is there even any confirmation that the New Director (I know his name is Christopher Landon) is even planning on bringing back Sidney, Gale, Sam, Tara, Chad, Mindy, & Kirby for the 7th Movie or is he planning on doing his own story with new characters ?
@@ttanza4004 no radio silence is writing and producing Gale is returning I believe Kirby as well all who survived Neve said at a panel she can't say if she's returning or not which means she's in talks to. For scream VI I remember when she was asked she said directly it was a no she wasn't returning. This one will definitely tie into Sidneys past because Sam and taras mom knew Billy during the events of the first scream so I'm certain she may know what was going on so that'll play into it at some point. A script has been written so yes it's all confirmed but because of the current strike in Hollywood until that's resolved which Neve is apart of they won't start filming till that's cleared up. So they plan on filming by October and releasing next year just depends on when the strike will end. But scream 7 is set to be the final chapter in this new trilogy. So never will certainly return they can't end the franchise without her the best way in my opinion to bring her back to be relevant to the killings is Sam and taras mother knowing Billy and most likely knowing that he was up to no good just didn't say anything.
I loved this movie so much. I hated the way they killed Dewey in 5, and I really cried for poor Anika in this one too, but I really appreciate how they launched the franchise into a much more brutal direction. There was just 0 remorse from the killers, 0 hesitation, 0 shits given to innocent bystanders. I loved the slow cat/mouse dance of the previous movies, but the sudden shift in direction really gave it new life. Now I am sad at the state of Scream7 and it may just end up cancelled at the rate it’s going with actors being dropped and fired. Hope they can reach a good compromise instead at the very least
"Prop Anika infront of it, she's a goner anyways right".

I really hope that Scream 7 will be a winter one.
Do you have a gun?
I’m Gale Fuc**** Weathers .. of course I have a gun !
😂
19:55 This was my exact reaction too 🤣
20:30 Great callback to 1&2. I loved the way they did this.
I love when there's a guest appearance during your reactions 😂😂
A mask was left at every crime scene and then at the end, Sam left her dads mask at the crime scene.. Maybe she is the mastermind.
I just saw an interview the other day, that Stu was going to be the killer in scream 3.
Mathew Lillard actually was paid to be in scream 3, they changed the story to Roman because Columbine had just happened when scream 3 was going to be filmed.
“Any chance he landed on a knife?” took me out🤣🤣🤣🤣
at the end of Scream 5 she said she wasnt going to write about Amber and Richie instead she was going to write about a former sheriff of this town in the city he loved aka Dewey however she didnt write about his life she wrote about the killers instead which made them famous which is what she wanted that is why they are mad i would be too
Gail was only ever called one other time… Only Randy answered her phone… causing his desth
I always wanted 3 Ghostfaces, I just wish the killers underneath weren't so over the top and underwhelming.
It was a total of 5 actually because the first 2 in opening. The copycats. So it was brilliant. At first I thought this movie was gonna have like 7 or 8 killers that would be bonkers but it would have to make sense.
A mask was left at every crime scene and then at the end, Sam left her dads mask at the crime scene.. Maybe she is the mastermind.
“Mrs. Movie” literally cannot remember 80% of what she’s seen!😄
She forgets on purpose as a self-defense mechanism. Otherwise she’d have nightmares. She doesn’t like scary movies!
Chad is the new Dewey lol
Anyone else flinch a bit when the baby made her cameo? Lol
I don’t know if Hayden Panettiere has had work done, she’s just older. I mean it’s been at least 12 years since scream 4
And she has had children between the 11 years of Scream 4 & 6.
Yo I clicked on this video so fast I nearly broke my laptop
The more we I’ve watched it, the stupider it feels. Like so many thinks don’t make sense, and seem to be there just to make the movie entertaining.
You guys should consider watching 1408 and Rose Red (both Stephen King ) also, Kidnap (halle berry) , the call,
Cinderella man (true story about boxer during the great depression) and lastly, The Bay (2013 i believe!)
Samara Weaving is in the first sequence (The Babysitter, Wedding Nightmare - same directors)...
This was the best scream since scream. Scream 6 definitely was the most brutal one and a very excellent twist since scream, I give it a 9 out of 10.
The best part was Gale Chase Scene. And honestly, if she had die there, i wasnt mad. She fought with everything she got!
It was the perfect time for her to go. I really enjoyed this movie but I wish they'd been a bit ballsier about killing people off.
Always love a guest appearance. HAHA
Im pretty sure most people thought/hoped it was stu. It would've been cool if it was
1:54 Oh no, Mrs Movies is glitching! 😄
Finalllllllyyyyyy !!!! I got my notification bell ready 🙌🏽🔥
some people theorize that Dr Stone, Samantha's therapist was related to the security guard Stone from Scream 3
When Sam is the killer in the next one I won’t even be mad. They’ve done a pretty decent job laying the groundwork for it to be a plausible path her character takes.
Jigsaw dying is a plot point. Absolutely watch those flicks
Keeping her Australian Accent, Was Australian Actress Samara Weaving as the Professor killed in the alley at the beginning
Scream 7 just got the green light to film but a new director was added on his name is Christopher Landon
So better over the 5th one. Brutal deaths. Loved it.
The kid interrupting the show was 😂
return of the living dead is my favorite horror movie for sure been commenting for awhile that yall should watch it lol great video and have to agree this ghostface seemed way more brutal and scary
i love this scream, i think it's a great movie.
On the subway, someone is dressed as Samara Weaving's character from _Ready or Not._ (She was the first girl/professor in this.)
My scream ranking goes like this:
Scream 4
Scream (1996)
Scream 6
Scream 5
Scream 2
Scream 3
Kirby references the rumors that Stu might be alive. Apparently there was originally supposed to be a mid-credits scene in the original movie, showing Stu in an insane asylum.
At this point, it would not be a good idea for them to bring back Stu and have him be the killer in "Scream 7".
There are so many people now who want to see him come back that if he did come back and he was the killer in the 7th Movie then it will have been predictable and it would also have killed 1 of the most fun things about the "Scream" Movies which is trying to figure out who the killer or killers are.
@@ttanza4004Would still like to see him return in some capacity. Maybe as a red herring?
I agree. This movie had me on the edge of my seat haha. Gale's chase is amazing!
@@BrandonJames2016 I can't ignore them because Scream use to be top tier but now it's barely OK but I agree there is things to like in Scream 6!
Completely random I know, but I've seen Face/Off too many times.. and the part where they show Nic Cage as Castor Troy, is actually from a point in the movie that it's actually Sean Archer in Castor's face
18:25 wouldn't security footage show the killer discarding their mask then running out?
I think the masks they were leaving behind weren't the ones they were wearing during those killings since the masks they all had on looked older and more beat up. Even Ethan and Quinn said that theirs belonged to Nancy Loomis and Stu Macher so the masks they left behind on the crime scenes were of ghostfaces that came after the second movie (Richie, Roman, and Charlie I believe)
Love to see your reactions Psycho 2 it's brilliant.😉👍🇬🇧
Best part of the movie… When the two Ghostfaces cleaned their knives simultaneously
Ghostface called Gail in Scream 2 but Randy was the one who answered her phone resulting in his death. Mickey got knocked out in Scream 2 after the car crash.
Scream 3 was suppose to have two killers. But the script leaked out. The second killer was the woman who would play Sidney in the Stab film.
Then they repurposed that idea for Jill in Scream 4.
Gail can't die, she's an executive producer
