You can't help but wonder how much deeper the trash has been buried over the years. The machines are so efficient, and the volunteers tenacious and dedicated to their task. Thank you, good folks.
Still an amazing total weight of over 17,000 lbs. that’s where we have cleaned like 6 times before in the same area. Thanks to American River Flood Control District, and our 7 volunteers that showed up yesterday on 10-9-24.
I was born and raised in N Highlands and the homeless always set up camps along that creek ,They used to put the homeless in jail if they had less than ten dollars on them vagrants is what they were called , they had skid row downtown where you could get a room for a couple bucks in a ghetto building rats and roaches ,then they tore all those out and people started living in shantys along the river ,tents ,rough living for nedy people
Sad situation. Have you seen how many camps there are lining Arcade Creek from Norwood Ave to Marysville Blvd in the past couple of months? Hundreds (exponentially more than ever before), and the ecological damage is profound.

Every cleanup is very impressive. And sad.
Not all heroes wear capes. Some drive an excavator.
Amazing work!
Drop a comment & say thanks to these wonderful people. Helps to spread the word.
Thank you, I am one of the volunteers!

That rubbish is so deep. How many years do you think the homeless have been living in this area?
Probably about a decade, but the numbers have been exploding over the past several years.
