Some of those floats are better than Disney and especially universal !! Great parade
It’s absolutely incredible
My son was a volunteer marshal at the carnival this year.
He loved it so much i think he would have paid them to do it 😅
I work on the carnivals and love doing it seeing the look on people's faces
@@randomstuff9822nice one 🙂👍
@@randomstuff9822it's awesome when on one of them, especially if it's a scary theme, I scared a few people this year 😂
Amazing work!
I've never been, I wish I had been! If it wasn't for this channel I wouldn't have known about it. I smiled continuously throughout the video, the floats all look incredible! Great filming, glad you both enjoyed it too!
It’s such a great event!
Thank you for this. Seriously, what an amazing event and Dudes, you presented it in all the ways that matter. Focusing on the needs of the people who make it all happen in terms of donations first is SO important.
It looks like such a Bohemian event in all the best ways. How uplifting and a joy! Truly impressive in the scale of the parade. Few match this, maybe the Rose Parade, tho a little stodgy, or the Carnaval in Rio tho quite saucy, have such intrigue. Yet an electric parade at night cannot be matched with the energy it shines with. And Shawn is so right, big or small, the heart is strong in every float. Love a parade that includes local groups of all sorts. Truly a community experience.
Totally impressive, this vid has made this event a Bucket List Item. I live in the US and due to recent um , things, needed a boost. This was it, such a joy.
My goodness both Pinball Floats were next level. A whole amusement park of movement concentrated into one vehicle. Those builders deserve as much credit as the designers. And then the Lady GaGa float.. good lord. And then, lol, the Ford one, my cousins who all have worked for the company would be blown away. They are all Native American, as am I, so I could be a debbie downer about the Spirit of the Eagle Float, but thought it was actually incredible. Super joyful and uplifting. And I felt respectful in their way.
Green Dragon.. .I mean.. perfection. But it's so hard to decide, so I won't they all did great.
Thanks for watching, we loved it!
We go to this carnival most years and were hoping to this time as well, but my dad couldn't get the time off work so we missed it. I'm glad to see I can rely on you guys to show me what we missed!
Glad you enjoyed it, can't believe i looked at you both and didn't recognise you from last years video, was on Shambles - The Siege 35:42 near the front in navy. Such a wonderful feeling seeing everyone enjoying it and thank you for promoting it and how people can help out when watching! Hopefully spot you next year if you come to watch
We had an amazing time!
Having just had a baby, your channels have been a lifesaver for both very late night escapism and also planning future trips!
Thanks for all the ongoing content and I look forwards to what is next!
Thank you so much!
That was absolutely amazing. Thank you Shaun and Charlotte 👍🏻
Thanks for joining us!
Wow the work that goes into that. Thank you for being in the cold and rain to show us 😊
Great vlog, Shawn, looked like a very enjoyable way to spend the evening. Gets the imagination going about what type of float I'd like to make if I was involved. Would be great to live in one of the buildings along the route and watch it from an upstairs bay window!
Hello. It's always a pleasure to see you two. 😊 It looks like you had a lot of fun.
PS- That striped top is really flattering on you, Charlotte. You looked awesome!
Thank you!
This looks awesome! I had a smile on my face throughout the full video. They all did such a good job. I imagine that it takes a lot of time and planning to put this event together. I hope a lot of money was made in donations to keep it going for another year. Thanks Shawn and Charlotte for showing us this epic and very colourful event!
We loved it!
Fantastic video - shinning a light on all the hard work. Look forward to next years!
We loved it!
Hi Shawn and Charlotte. That was an amazing carnival. It went on and on. So glad you show these kind of events as I had no idea they existed. Take care. Nick
This looks amazing! It pops up on my Tiktok a lot and is something we’d like to see for real. Thanks for sharing it with us all.
It’s such an amazing event!
Those were incredible!!! Thanks for bringing it to us.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow what a festive party! The floats were incredible! So much music and lights just fantastic!

What a amazing event that was better than some parades I’ve been to thanks for vlogging I didn’t even know that parade existed till I watched this :)
It’s amazing!
Thanks for coming to Glastonbury carnival! Our cart was the one called Driven By Precision, Globe Carnival Club at 27:45 💡💡💡💡
Amazing!
Wow I’m a new subscriber and had no idea this happened! We’ve loved watching all the fun, thanks for taking us with you!!
Thanks for watching!
OMG! Those floats are amazing!
It’s incredible
Wow looked awesome ,must take so many hours to build those carts ,great vlog again ,loved it

Amazing work! We will be!
Thank you for an amazing show. I love your production of it. If I could only get there to see it. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Thank you!
That was amazing...I've never seen anything like that in the States !! Well done !!🎉
Amazing!
Some of those carts are on a par with Disney. Cheers for vid guys
Thanks for joining us!
Excellent video of the Carnival and I really enjoyed your enthusiasm.
Thank you!
Sort of similar to our Mardi gras parades here in the United States. Looks like a fun night. ✨✨✨
At first I was like this looks abit depressing, then the more I watched the more I was blown away! How a small town can create such a spectacular, I’ve never seen anything like this and on that scale. The creativity and engineering behind beats any other floats I’ve seen around the world at any theme park, this was great advertising and definitely entices me making the trip.
Fantastic Vlog thanks Sean again and poor Charlotte lonely sausage ?
Some of us travel to 8 different tows to put the show on!
It’s absolutely amazing!
Crazy ,wild and fun. Wonderful parade. In some ways it's like our Mummers.New Year Parade. Would be great to see behind the scenes.of one of the floats being built. Pinball float my favorite.
Would love to see behind the scenes!
Thank you so much for using an official car park and using a carnival sponsor, which was knights chippy. People like yourselves are fantastic at keeping the event going. Unfortunately some local businesses are happy to profit off of carnival, whilst meanwhile giving nothing back.
Thank you! We love this amazing event and want to give it as much support as possible!
We saw this last weekend was amazing !!
Brilliant vlog
Me and my dad were just up the road next to the end of the route brilliant carnival as always every year my family have been going to carnival since even before I was born since my family lives local in Bristol.
My first carnival was in Weston-Super-Mare back in 1994 when I was just 2 years old so from childhood onwards I've seen this local west country tradition evolve in to what it is in recent years but I will say for next year you got to do Bridgwater Carnival where this whole thing began and of course the squibbing event can't miss that.
And as for getting involved you don't have to live locally since there are carnival clubs from as far coastal Devon towns that take part and I remember a carnival club from way back many years ago called Samvantra CC who were from Chapmanslade just outside of Frome so if you were to keep it to walking entries each year I think it wouldn't be a huge task each year and call your carnival club Sandbrook CC lol.
Carnival is well worth it each year hope more folks would get involved to make it bigger it would be like it was in the 90s when carnivals would be near 3 hours long.
Also look up S.C.G.F.C.A (Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnivals Association) for information on registering to participate in future carnivals for anyone interested.
Thanks for sharing, we love it!
It was great to meet you last week with my wife
An amazing event will definitely return
Great to see you 🤩
Very good I am enjoying watching the video is very good at Glastonbury carnival it has inspired me to actually come next year maybe thank you for the video
What a absolute fantastic event i thoroughly loved it the carts were absolutely brilliant everyone involved should be so proud they definitely deserve every donation this event gets i hope this event keeps going for generations to come this is like Glastonburys answer to disneys Electric Light Parade
We loved it as always!
Amazing this year! Same as last year as a huge carnival fan went to all 7. My fav this year was Lime Kiln CC Oktoberfest
Thank you! I was on this cart 😃
@ 🤙😀
Incredible carnival
Lovely to see you both in my part of the country. You should try Bridgwater, the home of carnival and stay for the traditional squibbing 👍👍
It’s a beautiful area!
I’m so unbelievably happy that you’re showcasing the Somerset carnivals again. Please clear your diary for Bridgwater on 1st November 2025, because it’s that little more special.
Gremlins CC are behind the awesome Beatlemania Cart. Those and Masqueradors are in my top 5 this year. Gremlins won around 80% of all the local processions this year.
Amazing!
Would highly recommend trying Bridgwater next time, the squibbing is amazing to see live
Still waiting until you come to Aalst in Belgium for Aalst Carnaval. 2 march in 2025! 😅🎉
Would love to!
This might be good if alton towers could run a bit of a light parade going through the park for christmas event and perhaps utilise some screen and camera lights around a parade route
Wow what a carnival, that puts everywhere to shame and the detail on some are better than disneys,
It’s epic!
I miss Wigan's tiny trees. The holders are still there, but trees never are. Eggs, Sausage, Chips and Veans was made by Lancashire Hotpots.
Fantastic video ⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for loving rambles cart (pinball) I really love your comment I’m very proud to have been on that cart and so proud to have been part of carnival from age 12. It’s definitely life NOT a hobbie.
It was amazing!
I love Glastonbury where even the monks at the Abbey perpetuated the myth that it is the final resting place of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. It reminds me of Austin Texas where the official motto is "Keep Austin Weird" ... just built on a grift to make money and has become factual more or less! Great video Shawn and Charlotte as always! 👍
It’s a fascinating place!
You should go to Bridgwater Carnival next year! It’s the main one that’s first! Entertainment in the day all day! And after you could experience “Squibbing” which is phenomenal 🎉
Sounds great!
Hello Shawn and Charlotte 👋☺️
Got my hot chocolate and marshmallows ready to watch this ❤
Love the Somerset Carnvial's go every year to Weston super mare's & Wells, they get every year
They are epic!
I'm still absolutely gutted I couldn't find you both... 😞
Awesome Video Guys 😄😄😄😄😄😄
Thank you ✨
We saw this is Glastonbury by chance in 2015. We finally returned this year, but we saw it in Wells the night before the Glastonbury Carnival.
Wells had some fairground rides to enjoy and is in our opinion a nicer location than Glastonbury. We will return again someday.
Amazing!
Wow amazing
What an amazing event!
Incredible
Loved it xx
I bet the fish and chips were expensive as they looked a bit greasy. I liked the Brunel float.
They were good value, around £5 each!
@ Right.
Were you parked in the B&Q car park thought I saw you both walk past 👍🏻
Hope you had fun 🤩
@ it was amazing out of all the floats etc I loved the party bus at the start 😀
Omg very good now TPW😄 crew or sandbrooke adventures i think it was great footage and floats and carnival but you deffo left charlottee out only to show her at beginning and small sausage 🌭 saga and quick rewiew at end
We were enjoying the carnival that much and wanted to focus on showing the carts!
Hi you guys
Never knew about this carnival thx for sharing definitely gonna pay a visit next year. Such a shame about winter wonderland dont blame ya for your not going back.
The revenue you bring to these places i only went last year after seeing your vlog would have never known about it. Very ungrateful of your vlogs and disrespectful to you both for the work you put in. I wont go again mainly because ofvthe rising prices as magical as it is the greed has tsken over.
Merry Xmas to you both ❤️
Thanks for joining us, we really enjoyed it!
👍
What was your best float
Pinball!
Hi Shawn and Charlotte what are the directions to Alton towers-Marley
Not called HGV anymore they are called LGV means long goods vehicle it was change 10 years ago i now i drive one
I’m definitely not a vehicle expert 😂
Why so many similar themes…pirates especially
it’s club picked and a lot of the time people don’t know what each club are doing until the last moment
@benthompson558 Ahhh, thanks, makes more sense, the overall choices are very USA leaning which seems odd for Somerset, at least pirates are from nearby Cornwall.
@@gigteevee6118
I think they is an overall theme but it's not compulsory?? Could be it's just the recent election being in the news so much over the last year.
Historically, hundreds of thousands of the early settlers in America came from the South and West Country, so not that odd. (Listen to the accents)
And pirates? There's always pirates at the carnival, who doesn't want to dress up as a pirate?
Cornwall really doesn't have a monopoly on pirates, it just has the publicity. England is a seafaring nation and you can find tales of pirates just about anywhere along the coast and their old tracks going inland and their bases.
After all, Taxes affected everywhere...
It depends on what the carnival club chooses they want to do I believe!
Excellent video Charlotte and Shawn Sanbrooke from Glastonbury to experience the awesome Illuminated Carnival! In this vlog we capture the amazing atmosphere of this fantastic event, including highlights from the parade. This year the Glastonbury Carnival featured over 100 karts, with all of them having different themes and music! keep the good videos coming on the channel, Charlotte and Shawn Sanbrooke.😀😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
