Soon after my divorce and in my own home, I found a plate at Salvation Army that had the same inscription as that teapot: "This is my house and I do as I please." 21 years later it still hangs proudly in my kitchen. 😊
❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅❤❤❤❤❤
Love it! 😅
I found the same plate at a Goodwill and I’ve got mine hanging in my breakfast nook. It fits the sassy side of my personality. ☺️😉
I love that for you!!
Get your daughter tested for Lyme disease!! It's very common where you live and one of the symptoms is excessive swelling around a joint. Not everyone gets the bullseye rash when bitten, and doctors are terribly uneducated about Lyme disease. I slipped through the cracks for over 20 years before I finally got my diagnosis.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis would swell joints also.
The real name of the pin holder flower frog is a kensan. They are Japanese in origin and used in Ikebana, a stylized type of flower arrangement. The better ones are made of brass pins set in lead bases. A small one is around the ten dollar range, larger can be 40 to 60.
A flower frog is made of ceramic or glass and has predrilled holes in it. They sit on the rim of the container. They are worth 10 to 20.
Some delft ware pieces have a closed pot with the holes in it. These were used for tulips.
OMG! The fork and spoon were sooo Kate!!!!😄
I like how you look out for each other in your vintage "community."
Did you look for Noah's animals? Loved that❤
Thanks for taking us shopping!
Wow,that was a fantastic trip to the Goodwill! The Noah’s ark and the three chicks are so good❣️😍
Little white jar probably held cold cream
I love the mccoy pitcher!
Terrific finds hun.❤ your videos. Added up but looks well worth it. 😊
Laurels really gonna be in to Christmas this year.
Hi Jocelyn, I also fell in love the those 2 pull toys. Did you forget to go look in the toy section for any of the other pieces for the Noah’s Ark basket? Have a wonderful day!💐
I love watching you shop! I don't usually gravitate towards much of what you do (but still love watching because it's so educational!)... I would totally have picked up that fork/spoon set like you did though! So kitschy! 😅
That copper bowl and stand are vintage. My parents had them when I was growing up in the 60's-70's.
It's called Henn Worshop. Similar to Longenber, they did baskets with liners, pull toys, spongewear and were sold by home sellers similar to pampered chef. Sadly they went out of buissness late teens 2000. My mother in law had parties and had a ton of it. She bought us a set and I still have a few pieces. They did give a lifetime guarantee, but not now of course as they are gone. I'm always on the hunt for pieces. The baskets are hard to find.
My towns Goodwill has crap 💩 😭😢
Great video! Your owls marked USA might be Shawnee Pottery. The mark and large holes on the bottom made me think possibly so.
Holy cow !! My mom had that Christmas fork and spoon when I was a kid!!
House of Hatten is a great find, pretty high dollar
Love the walking stick.
When you put the blue baby shoe down, I thought about how high price peeps charge for air plant vessels.
I thought you collected Bassett Hounds for the rescue
Small plates are bread plates
Maybe the Noah's ark pieces are in with the baggies
Love your shopping videos them masks were epic.
That little black porcelain piece is to rest your spent tea bag when done steeping…
I noticed Juliets knee and one of the videos when she was shopping with you
I just finished bing watching the hoarder house series. You ended it saying you would be back tomorrow but there isn't another episode.did something happen?
"I have this exact plate but it doesnt have the gold" 😂 so not exact
First time seeing your video , may I ask where you sell your stuff ? I would like to do the same thing. Thanks
Great video❤I had a blast watching❤
11.27 too bad Kate is not with you, 🤣
The masks 😮
I'm kinda disappointed you didn't look for the pieces to the ark basket .I was thinking they might have been in the toy section or grouped in a plastic bag.
👍🙂
Goodwill is insane on some of their prices recently! These items are donated so you think everything would be reasonably priced. 🤷♀️
I am so jealous of Goodwills that Jocelyn shops. Goodwills around me are never stocked - just full of highly over-priced broken junks. 🤨
Ikr! Same here in Illinois. Wonder if they send all the good stuff to Pa?
I sold those bells as a fundraiser in high school back in the 1980's!
I think the masks are from the Dan people - not an artist called Dan - and are known as Guire style masks. They are contemporary and made for tourist trade but higher end - we sell them in Zimbabwe for around usd150 to USD400 depending on age and quality. Those are hand woven fabrics on the side for the padding
That Noah’s ark basket was everything!! Too bad it didn’t have all its pieces. Great finds today!
I agree! I wonder if she checked the toy section? Ya never know! I love old wooden toys.
@@lindsaymiddle3566 i came to say
Something about the matter ! Did she go?
@@lindsaymiddle3566you obviously heard me screaming Check the toys area or the Baggies!!! Lol
I hope she checked.
Please ask Juliette's primary care doc about physical therapy for her. Knee pain is very common in girls. especially around growth spurts. A few exercises and some advice may be all she needs for now, but she may have trouble with her knees once she's a teen - growth and hormone issues.
I hope you're able to get some answers for Juliette and she can get relief at least with that cool new cane ❤
My son had the same issue growing up. His doctor said it was just from growing fast. Went away as he got older.
Stacia, the same with my son, he was having "growing pains" from such big growth spurts. His legs would just give out at times too. Thankfully it didn't last till long. He's now 33 and 6'3"(or 4") !
Yep, I said the first time, growing pains. Most kids have growing pains in their knees, especially fast growers. Both of my kids are tall. My grandson is really tall and has a lot of issues with his knees. My daughter had issues with her knees at about 9 or 10. The doctor x-rayed her knees, and she had little tags catching in her cartridge. They did surgery and cut them out.
Also the art pottery bowl had a break on one of the sticks(?) on the side.
Great finds! Did you happen to look at the bags for the little wooden Noahs Ark animals? The little planter with the spikes in the bottom is for Ikebana. It's a Japanese flower art.
I have tons of Henn sponge ware. It used to be a direct sales company. My sister sold for them so I had lots of parties! The sponge wear is fantastic! Holds heat well and cleans up so easy too.
Love everything you picked up- and some of the things you didn’t 😊 thanks for taking us along!!
That was a great trip :) Have a wonderful week everyone!!!!!!
Re: Juliette's knees. Research Osgood Schlatterer disease. I had it at about her age. Presumably there is more they can do for it now as opposed to when I had it in my early adolescence! It does go away tho!! Good luck to her (and Mom).
Yes, my son had it also.
Same here. It occurs when kids have too fast and too much growth. Muscle.ligament and tendons can't keep up with the bone growth. Keep her strong, this too will pass 😊😊
That was to put the tea bag in after you take it out of the cup so it doesn't leak on the table. Doesn't really have to be for food use. You throw it out - it just doesn't drink on the table. I collect them.
The conch shell brings back sweet memories for me. When I was little my grandfather told me to put the open part of the shell up to my ear and I would be able to hear the ocean. It sounds like the ocean but of course it’s not. I told my grandson the same thing and he put it up to his ear to “ hear the ocean”. I still have the shell…. It makes me smile 😊
Me too.
I still put them up to my ear when I find them 😂
You should have checked the toy section for the animals that went with that Ark
My Grandmother had that spoon and fork set decades ago!!
Please keep Lyme disease co- infections in mind for Juliette. ❤ we learned the hard way.
Wow! That is the most full cart!
That was an awesome haul Jocelyn! 🎊Congrats and thanks for the video! 👍🏼😊
Oh sweet Juliet! I hope there’s a treatment so her knee stops bothering her. My sister had this odd thing with her knees in childhood called, Osgood-Schlatter. Sending her prayers and good wishes!
Holy cow Jocelyn, you hit the jackpot at goodwill today! 😮
The birdhouse shakers are from Godinger Silver. I sold some a while ago for about $15
Great haul at that Goodwill. I love that pull toy chicks.
I love love love watching you thrift. I live a block from goodwill. You make me want to go in there every day. Lol.
Holy moly! That's a LOT of stuff! You scored big time on this trip! Yay you! How exciting! Good for you! ❤ ALSO, did you find any of the ark animals? That would be really cool.
I thought for sure you would grab that polka dot mushroom! 😊
I spoke too soon! Haha
This is a very gentle suggestion. If it were me, I would not talk about my children’s medical issues for the internet to hear. That is so personal. Even if it’s only about knees, allergies, spider bites, etc. It makes me so uncomfortable for your children to read what total strangers are commenting about their medical issues. Let your kids have that privacy. It makes no difference to most of your viewers since most are here for YOUR reselling content. It makes me cringe when viewers DEMAND to see a home tour or proof of life of your pets or more content about your children. It’s one thing to include a bit of Laurel dancing or a pic of the first day of school. It’s another level when you’re talking about medical issues of your older children or you might be considering sharing the inside of THEIR home. Think twice. You have enough fantastic content without sharing too much personal stuff. I hope this doesn’t get me blocked or banned. I hope it just gives you food for thought when it comes to your children.
I haven't been to goodwill since august. The last two times i've gone, it's been so disappointing. High prices, dirty items, broken items, things that they've taped to death... And the fact that pretty much everything in the store was $4.49. Except the clothes that started at $6 and went up.
I did not know McCoy made so many different items. I will have to watch closer when I check out my thrift stores. I put plants in anything I can find that will hold one!!! Years ago I found 4 identical McCoy pots for .25 each and i was so excited!! I still have them.
I actually laughed out loud when I seen the fuzzy fork and spoon with plastic leaves on it!
Hey! This is about your daughters leg or was it knee pain....possibly Osgood Schlatter. This is really a condition. My brother had it and my daughter has it.
You may know this by now but problems with knees could be Lyme disease. Get a blood test for your girl to rule it out. Sooner the better. I’m not a dr. but had Lyme before. BTW - I hope it’s not
I like that Royal Jackson Pattern... I think it is called May Time. Nice. Did you buy that?
Nice finds of the Gerald Henn!
When I was about her age my knees were also hurting me a lot. I was finally told it was because I was growing fast. It eventually got better.
WHY don’t I ever see pink depression glass at a thrift store in the south?! Love pink depression glass. Hmph.
This video came into my rotation again today and funny that you found spoons from the Tropicana. That casino/hotel closed this morning after 67 years!
Find a good chiropractor for Juliet, if you haven’t already tried that. You may be pleasantly surprised at what they can do for her.
I love the way it starts off slow and then before you know it the cart is full!!! Love your videos ❤❤
You have the best GWs nearby....
Cant believe the algorithm didnt catch adels song, it was so loud and clear🤭
It was SOOO loud. I thought for sure the video was hoping to bounce back. I was really surprised when it got the good to go. 😂
Great job shopping today! So many items i loved that i can't pick Just ine one item today to name as ny favorite ❤
Hi Jocelyn. There is another thought regarding Juliet’s knee pain. My husband had a condition when he was young called Leg Perthes. It affects mostly boys but girls can get it too. It can present with knee pain and/or a limp. The issue is actually with the hip and it is considered rather rare, and has no known cause. Go ahead and google it for more info. I’m assuming the specialist would have checked for it, but you never know. May have x-rayed the knee, but not the hip?? Keep pushing for answers!!
Also, loved this video! Great finds in that Goodwill for sure! ~Cathy
Good info! Thanks
I had problems with one of my knees when I was a kid. My parents took me from doctor to doctor, they even put dye in my knee... No one could ever say what it was. In my late twenties a chiropractor looked at it and promptly fixed it! To this day I no longer have problems!
So I would take her to a chiropractor if I was in your shoes.
I hope this helps! ☺️☺️
Did you ever check the toys or the baggies for the Noah's ark figurines?
Color of the week comment made me belly laugh so hard! Isn't that the truth though, lol.
I’m 70 an I had those kitchen whisk an chip cutter when I got married 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
What I would put in those hand-blown jars is pasta
That Noahs Ark and pull toy were great! I wonder if the pieces were in the baggy section.
The purple canister looks like my clear set that I got at Kirkland’s store.
You missed the McCoy cookie jar at the beginning on the bottom endcap
Those bells are from the early 80s. My kids sold them thru school as a fund raiser. We still have them.
Good vibe day for your craft. Great finds. Did you check the toys for the ark parts? Sweet of you to get the owls for merri, she is a good friend and smart too. Don't forget to check back fottegreen cup that you missed ( had snatched) from te decanter set, .
Lmao 😂 “I usually don’t talk about that because I never get anything in the color of the week” soooooo true…what they do is collect the good stuff before color of the week and re-ticket it. I’ve been doing this for years and that’s what they do. 🤦🏽♀️
Those small plates were bread plates:)
Bread/cake plates are the small plates in the set you picked up.
the critter bell collection brings me back to my childhood
The berries are original to the Lefton creamer. They just lost their red paint.
Are you going to do SOLD videos anymore?
Best wishes for Juliette's(sp?) knee to get better.
You have a special talent of handling items with one hand. I mean, you were actually spinning that vintage beater...lol
Its pronounced conk, the 'ch' is a 'k' sound.
When my son was in middle school he was having terrible back pain. Specialist diagnosis- growing pains.
I love your content
I have 3 different tea pots like you picked up with the sayings they are vintage
I’d never have guessed a flocked fork and spoon would be worth selling 😮
