It was Germany's betrayal that promised Italy 3 years to prepare (Pact of Steel) then invaded Poland 4 months later without notifying Italy, dragging an unprepared Italy into WWII and disaster. Same with Japan, invaded Pearl Harbor, never notifying Italy or Germany, bringing in America and guaranteeing an Allied victory. With Allies like those, Italy didn't need enemies.

No she is not. She is just excellent at giving populist speeches. Every time she talks about some matter she just fakes up data or attacks easy targets (for example the leftists, the immigrants, the LGBTQ community). She never takes the blame for the unsuccessful actions of her government and instead tries to censor the press taking control of the national TV and reporting all the journalists who criticise her lead. And now nothing gets done. Some wild, hair-brained schemes get approved, which a normally-functioning government would never do. Stability, in the last 30 years there have been many governments that have had a short life of about 1 and a half years. Unemployment is at its lowest since 2007 and employment is at an all-time high, real wages have grown more than inflation (wages in Italy have been stagnant since 1990), exports have increased, debt/GDP has decreased, GDP has increased more of France, Germany and the United Kingdom in recent years and in the G7, Italy, after the USA, has been the strongest and most dynamic economy compared to pre-Covid.
