Movies like this frustrate the hell out of me and make me angry. The police had no right to go through her stuff without a warrant. They are her kids and she can take photos of them if she wants. They were not even naked. CPS always takes kids off good parents, never abusive parents!! They are the bane of society. I also think a female psychologist should be talking to the girls, not a male!
its a FAKE movie. if you can't handle it, get help. this specific story is fake, it is LOOSELY based on the store of a 7 year old that took pics of a friend. But they were partially naked
@@thelioness930 Sad thing is it happens in real life. That lady at the photo shop should have at least talked to the mum about it and mind her own business. Its her fault that the family was put through this unnecessary grief!! Omg if that was me id be going back to that women and having it out with her again.
@@thelioness930 yep unbelievable BS!! The judge was right though. He knew all too well that kids running around naked and being photographed at home in privacy is a very common thing. The fact the cops turned it into something sinister and sexual is disgusting!!
A travesty done to this family because of misguided concern and misunderstanding of the situation. It should never have gone to court. I’m glad Justice prevailed in the end.
And now underage (as well as parents) are being politically ... POLITICALLY forced to have sxe w adults or be persecuted and very soon prosecuted as well as be the odd child (and parent) out.
@@banshee1133 ACE THAT IS ABOUT THE CHARACTERS IN THE FAKE MOVIE..not the real story, it is a FAKE ENDING TO A FAKE STORY....charges were dropped against mom, but not the friends in the FAKE STORY...i could find no info on the real story which involved a 7 year year old who took pics of a friend.
I remember watching this movie when it first came out , it had a great impact on me , I’ve never forgotten it , I’m very very careful how I take photos of anyone’s children.
A wonderful movie very intense and reveals the pornographic minds of those that do not understand familial intimacy in a healthy happy family. Very suspenseful with an excellent ending of innocence proclaimed! 😊
Glad that it ended with mom and friend expressing their feelings. Its people with bad thoughts that see evil in innocent things. Glad that the judge had a sound mind.
I, too, find those pictures disturbing, but not in the way this prosecutor did. I grew up in a family where children were regarded as not having a need for personal boundaries, which, as we all should know in this day and age, are foundational to sound mental health. The situation portrayed in this movie is not as serious as the one in mine; so, it's difficult to say exactly what it is that disturbs me about it. There seems to be a belief in our society that if the personal trespass upon the child is not sexual, then it is perfectly fine amongst family and friends of the family. There was an expression I used to hear in my childhood, "making strange", which would come up whenever a child would not warm up to some friend of the family that a parent was showing the child off to, which showed a disregard for the child's right to make his or her own friends. It's hard for me to put into words; so, I guess I'll just leave it at that. Edit: I just remembered a picture my mother used to show around, of me sitting on the pot eating a liquorice twist while doing my business. I never liked her showing that around, but, she clearly didn't care, as long as she enjoyed herself.
I totally get what you're saying. Your mother invaded your privacy. Some of us are introverted and don't like being put on display. My mother was an over sharer. I remember hating my birthdays because it made me the center of attention.
As soon as the friend started taking so many photos of the children, I didn't like her. If the mother asked to take photos when her children were dressed up, is one thing, but to take pictures of almost naked small children is another thing. Not to mention, giving them to a photo studio where a pedophile could see and used them for himself or posting them online.
This movie make me feel uncomfortable because the police does not care when there are children being abused they just don't care nobody does people only care about dogs I do like them but I love children. God please take care of them.
It’s a lesson not to release any private pictures anywhere to anyone unless professional . Especially, avoid social media . I used to live in China : one day I saw my picture with my friends on one of the buildings . They took it from FB without any permission As the movie shows how badly they can be misused and lead to dramas . Protect your children by not exposing them to the ugliness of the world
Wow.... what a terrible situation. All it takes is an accusation, and it snowballs from there. In this movie, CPS were just doing their job. It was really the police that took it too far. I'm so glad the judge was able to see the truth!
This is ridiculous. When I was seven, my family visited Story Town in upper state NY. This was 1972 and the temp was nearly 100 degrees. My mom snapped a picture of my sister and I, shirtless, on the train. As much as that picture embarrasses me today, there is nothing pornographic about it. We keep it for laughs.
Loved the film. Someone thinks they have done wrong and thinks that the photo s are wrong and the kids are playing and dancing. The police take it out of context, and they arrest the mum and get social services involved it is wrong. I'm so happy that Jen spoke in court and said what the photo s are and that they were playing and happy 😮😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
That woman from the photo shop & the police dept should be sued. Can they enter the house when the mother & kids weren't around even with a warrant?? That detective is so mean & sick minded when the mother asked for a lawyer. The police doesn't have a solid reason to handcuff the mother. She is not killer. I know it's just a movie but I get so piss for the police presuming & assuming the worst. Even after talking to the two girls😡😡
In England a prominent BBC newsreader Julia Somerville had a similar case. Photos being developed at a Boots pharmacy store contained photos of her daughter in the bath. The case was dropped too, thankfully. Nearly every parent will have similar photos of our children. All totally innocent. If only the police spent as much time going after those committing CA.
Welcome to the USA. Police has too much power. Things need time to think over . I am American and European and in Europe police are more mellow and we investigate in a normal matter. There is no nudity of those pictures. I am sick in tired of police having too much power.
Wow, So Sad this happened It is good the police are trying to stop predators, but this went over board they should just take the picutres and the negatives and let her go with a warning. If they check her computer and see she is clean the let her go after the mom agrees that it was innocent,
This lady's reality could so easily become any person out there's reality too. Because of sick people out there, our children get affected from such a young age.
We are sometimes living in an upside-down world where parents can't touch their children so predators can. Laws seem to be made for the benefit of criminals.
I hope the detective was kicked out of the force. Such a pig of a man. How dare he front up at her house by himself to apologies then turn around and belittle her as a mother. There are so many things wrong with the way this mother was bullied by that dective. Why weren't witnesses spoken to before there was any talk of a trial. I'm sure this detective has been in the force way past his used by date as he has no idea of empathy to families and children who love their mother.😒😒
“Snap Decision” is not a depiction of an actual case. It’s a fictional story loosely based on real events, much like episodes of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”.

Nowadays everyone takes multiple pictures on their phones and kiddies are posing with their friends. Plus little kids swim together in their friends pools and often have a nice warm bath afterwards, innocently and not thinking anything bad of it. But then I realise there are also other people that are perverts. In many Asian cultures they have public baths and bidies are normal. I guess its all in the eyes if the beholder.
