I think may favorite thing about Smash into Pieces is that your music taps into certain fundamental parts of humanity, in the same way more well known bands like Disturbed do; but in entirely your own flavor.
It's especially true of Arcadia and A New Horizon but most of the work you beautiful bastards have done qualifies.
War is never good for anyone, even the greedy folks who start the war. But it always hurts the children more in the end. Will we even have a world to give our children...? Great song!
War and Violence is apart of humanity. It has been beside us since the beginning of our existence. Humans never learn from history. It's why we keep repeating societal cycles every few generations, over and over and over and over for thousands of years. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create bad times. Bad times create strong men. Rinse and repeat until the last of humanity fades away.

My friend was 12 years old when the war in Luhansk began. At that age, he had to leave his home and take military training courses. Now he is 19 and he is defending our country 🇺🇦

the fact that your drummer has the shotgun nicknamed the "drummer" is fucking great, for anyone thats not a gun nerd its the Mossberg 590 Pump Action 12 gauge Shotgun, or is the KS-23 23mm Shotgun thats a Russian discarded Tunguska SPAA barrel, i cant really get a good look at it.

This is a very good song, and a great message at the end of the video too. It breaks my heart knowing that there are people who will not be returning home to their loved ones, because of wars... I just wish we could all get along peacefully.

It is better to be a warrior on a farm, than a farmer in war. Whilst I wouldn't want my children to NEED to go to war, I would want them to be CAPABLE of doing so if needed. I plan on raising any to be able to do so, and letting them make the choice for themselves. As much as I'd love for there to no longer be war, war will always be inevitable. I say this, because someone will always want what someone else has, and as much as we'd all like to think otherwise, compromise is not always possible. So if the choice is to be walked on, stepped on, having your property, and possibly your life taken, or to fight. Well that is a just cause. I do appreciate and encourage the message I take from this song. Which is be willing to defend your home, and those you love, but don't go searching for a fight.

Edit: Just finished. 😢 So much in this. I noticed the imagery in the kid's room for a soldier family - kid has a dog tag, lots of toy soldiers that he likes, the candle on the bed table that you keep lit until the soldier comes home, the little soldiers under his bed. The candle was interesting to me because we see that Dad is home, but the kid keeps the candle on - makes me think of how they say that a soldier never truly is "home" from war. The kid wasn't looking for an excuse to shoot a cool-looking gun, he wanted to be a soldier and protect his family and home from these enemies. When he leaves the house he puts soldiers around (like a kid asking them to watch his back). Mom figures out what happened and Dad goes out to rescue his brave but outnumbered son. 👌😭
Son grows up to be a soldier. Even with his brothers-in-arms at his side, war is still hell. These are the things the toy soldiers and dog tags can't tell you.

My husband was a marine for over 13 yrs. Did 6 tours to iraq & Afghanistan... this month is one of the hard ones as he lost one of his best friends during this time. Any military spouse will understand we grieve with them, even if it's different, we still grieve. This one had me bawling. Really good song, found it at the perfect time too. ❤
