      Thanks. Drilling into the engine block was a little nerve racking, but I’ve screwed up enough threads in my time so it wasn’t my first rodeo. Been happy with the filter/sump so far. This footage is 2 months old.

    Nice work, and after I'm curious can you just purchased the filter himself are need to purchased the complete kit again.

      Hey Mars, they do sell replacement filters on eBay and Amazon for $15 to $20. The filter is also marketed as washable since it’s really just more of a finer metal mesh.
      This is really just a stop gap solution for me. I eventually plan to put a proper external oil filter on it.

      @@MarsGarage333 I have not installed an external oil filter. I plan to eventually do that, but have a lot of other projects I need to do first. There are a couple kits out there for it, but I have not done enough research to figure out which setup is best.
