I wouldn't say he's one of the best. His voicing sometimes is so bad. Nick E Tarabay (Salim) is probably one of the best ones the series has had. He's also an experienced actor who has been in many things, though Ashley was simply more recognizable.
@@heyimlate5656 for me Eric's voice actor works the best is when he's distressed. (The rope scene, fighting the ancient one, the eclipse). But overall yeah, Salim has better voice actor. Actually, the whole game had better voice actors overall than medan imo. It's probably equal to little hope.

Eric should have had more plot into him like Jason Like imagine if there is a way where Jason never met Salim and he goes to the alien area with Eric and they will only meet Salim when they were out of the cave and they have to survive the eclipse that would've been cool
That would've been much worse. If it Eric and Salim, then yeah. Salim is technically the main character of the game simply because so much of it revolves around him, especially the whole third act. Even if he isn't playable a lot in the main game (not curators cut) in the third act, he's the main character in the act, especially with the part of him and an American bonding.
Eric to me: The husband and commander, whose wife no longer loves him as much as she used to. NGL I would want him alive, but in my playthrough he probably wouldn't because Clarice

It's really hard to get Jason or Salim killed when trying, especially Salim since his qte deaths have usually 3+ chances while some of Jason's qtes only have 1 chance, but that depends on choices you make with him (touching statue, ancient one living)
@@heyimlate5656 I got Jason killed on first playthrough and like you say all it took was a single missed prompt (lethal difficulty). I didn't touch the statue (that seemed obviously a trap). But I did retreat as Nick (which was apparently the correct decision as based on the events in previous chapters apparently Nick would have been dead no matter what if I advanced) so the Ancient One lived. I think had Jason go to save Salim and nailed every single one of those QTEs there killing the monsters. But then Balathu advanced on my characters, there was an epic slow motion spear throw and I was like "get ready for the qte, get ready for the qte..." and as soon as the qte appeared I reacted near instantly with the mouse button..... the wrong mouse button! Well at least Jason got a heroic death being killed by the ancient one (whilst saving Salim) as opposed to by some nameless vampire monster. In the final sequence with Nick and Salim at the house, I missed one of the qtes towards the end, but fortunately the game gave me a 2nd chance so no casualties. And very fortunate it wasn't one of the qtes when fighting the ancient one as apparently if you miss any of those it's instadeath (for I assume Nick, the whole scene was so intense with the qtes I lost track of which characters I was actually playing as at any given moment). Thus leading to Nick and Salim being the only survivors.
@@JonathanJimbo Yeah, that's what I mean. Salim is the easiest since he has the most chances, especially on lethal. He has like four if you make Jason go down while Jason only has one chance at times, and he's more like to get pulled from the roof and attacked at the water fall than Salim is. And yes, the ancient one would've killed Nick if you failed anything and Salim would've then had a chance to fight. Salim is always last to fight the ancient one.

True.
