+deepfocuslense+ Maggie, I really wish you knew just how beautiful you are. And I am not just talking about on the outside. You are Truly a very rare and precious gem of a soul. Oh how I wish I knew you.

I've been waiting for you to get to this one, Holy Motors is definitely one of my favorite films of the 2010s as well. Love you Maggie keep up the stellar content! Can we get this girl to 10k subs please???

Leo Bergmiller+ Shittttttttt, if there was any justice in the world, she would have over a million, easy.
There are others (I am thinking of chris stuckman) whom Maggie is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr better than, who actually do have over a million subscribers. But that's only because those like stinkboy appeal more to the mindless masses, use clips from the movies they review as well as a bunch of graphics that are relatively slick, etc. And they focus much more heavily on reviewing current movies, with special emphasis on the the most mainstream, high profile, big budget ones that have a ton of marketing, and thus a lot of casual moviegoers doing searches for them before they go watch them on opening weekend, or close to it.
Maggie could be the rightful heir to Roger Ebert, if only she went all in on polishing and selling her image and 'brand,' making a huge effort to really up her game in production, editing, etc. One problem is, like me, I don't think her tastes are mainstream enough to appeal to the masses, and she is a very genuine and authentic person who wouldn't be able to sell herself out and fake it in order to be excited and enthusiastic about reviewing all of the crap that comes out on a regular basis, that so many of the sheep like so much.
But in terms of quality reviews, nobody can touch her. Her insight, analysis, ability to express all of her thoughts, feelings and opinion on a film are as good as it gets.
It really is such a shame how many subscribers one has isn't always reflective of how good they are. Maggie should have millionS of subscribers, and have her own weekly TV show, whereas stinkboy should be maxed out with about 2,000, tops.

Thanks for the review. I just watched the movie minutes before your analysis and I really appreciated your take on the work. Holy Motors reminded me a little of Synecdoche New York, and suddenly I wanted to see you review that film, but when I searched your videos, I didn't find it. Have you seen it, and what did you think of it if you did?

*Wow...a surrealistic, French fantasy-drama directed by a nobleman from Normandy, featuring Kylie Minogue and Eva Mendes!* I'm in!

At first, I was sorta disgusted by the film. Then it started to progress and then I immediately fell in love with it.
The way this films makes you feel almost every emotion like sad, scarred, happy, optimistic and so on is a testament to the film's greatness. Lovely film.
    Btw, love your videos babes.

Thanks for putting this film on my radar.
In the spirit of reciprocity, have you seen any Mizoguchi films? I love how his films not only capture the subtleties of Japanese culture but also hold a mirror up to society. (Life of Oharu; Ugetsu; Osaka Elegy; Sansho the Bailiff; Five Women Around Utamaro; Story of the Last Chrysanthemums; Chikamatsu Monogatari etc...)

    I'd love to see you review a film like Gummo ( 1997 ) or Santa Sangre ( 1989 ) or Funky Forest ( 2005 ).

Ok now i think I have a better grasp on it. Each appointment is a movie scene the director has worked out. He needs a connecting device to link these together. So an actor driving around to each scene does that. Reality exists inside the limo. Anguish sadness frustration is real in the car for the actor who has to perform the scenes. Oh, It's also a dream. 😄

Nice. I like the way you think. It seemed to start out where he is acting for the camera and he ends up acting for the viewer by the end of the film. He didn't believe in the camera being there anymore. And who doesn't love monkeys?

Hi Maggie thanks for the review one of my favourite movie. Maggie I would like your opinion on who do you think is a better actor between Gary old man and Daniel day Lewis

Safiul Hamid Aasem+ I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I am still going to give it, anyway. DDL's shoes act better than Gary Oldman. And that is not meant as an insult to Oldman. Just saying that DDL really iszzzzz thaaaaat great of an actor, and nobody else even comes close. He is just on a completely different level. The Greatest of All Time, hands down, bar-none. End of story.

Always felt it was kind of cheating to throw a bunch of (seemingly) random stuff at he screen and say 'oh yeah, it's about the subconscious or dreams or something. Doesn't have to make sense.' But it was an interesting film nonetheless.
