  • This 2025 Ski Doo Skandic LE is another great example of the details that Ski Doo and BRP sweat over to make a truly useful, and truly unique unit.

Wish they still offered the old style Tundra 300, ( as well as the Yamaha Bravo) these big ass machines are a pia to load in a Twin Otter. lol

Haha! I'd still take summer weather over winter weather, but these ARE pretty cool!

Pogo suspension has been around since the 90’s …not new but favoured for work sleds as there’s less to hook / get damaged

Yeah, I don't think I said it was new. But definitely effective for this type of unit!

Ok, but they need to make them out of stainless steel, my 550 tundra has them and rusted to shit, even sprayed them, would rub grease on them, it’s the trailering but being that rusted looks cheap.

Wow, first family sled, got Christmas of 69, I was 7, it was a 12/3 Olympic. A bit different, lol. I’ve had them all, Yamahas and ski doos, had a bravo, too under powered but I could load it off and on my self, well back in my younger days, then I’ve had elans, great in snow, the had a horse, I mean a VK Professional, 1000 pounds dry, it went where it went, most comfy I’ve driven but too heavey. Currently on a 550 tundra ski don’t. F en thing, if I go in the snow…..yes, snow the snow comes up on cowling, then plugs the air intake. Put on wide skis, same thing. But it’s light, goes anywhere, I just can’t break trail a lot or play in snow. Get about a km and it spits and sputters from lack of air. Then the shitty part, I have to clear it off, if I dare to get off sled I’m usually screwed, the sled stay up top and I sink to my chest, then that fun getting on, lol. It’s 12 yrs old and I’m looking to get a new one, figure at 62, will be my last sled so better be a great one. I used to trap, and still have my remote camp/cabin, so it’s deep in northern Ontario so I need it reliable and comfortable. Zero, absolutely zero storage on the tundra, so this one is sweet. I bought my tundra in March, so used maybe 500 km first year, the very next year, in April, ya we still have tons show then, F en gauge cluster went and they were dicks and wouldn’t cover the warranty
…….guess where my new sled isn’t coming from, pogo sticks rusted to shit, I even would spray them with rust protector, but it’s the salty hwys, I love the wrap around bumper as I have to lake hop and sometimes I have to use a tree to bounce off of at 1km/hr so you can make the turns ect and deflecting off a tree helps move front end. I love the winch idea, too old to lift the machines now, I don’t go alone in case of that stuff. Love the queen seat in case wife needs to come along, then the storage is good, be nice to have bit more internal storage, but back rack is great. I’ll have to get a price in this. Thanks for review buddy.

My understanding is that no Skandic ever offered the super-low gearing once available on Arctic Cat’s trail-grooming Bearcat? True? My 1997 Skandic Super Wide Track (and other Skandics) have a low gear, but not super-low. I made a V-plow that clears snow a few feet deep down to bare ground in one pass, but with deep snow, it’s hard on belts. Super-low gearing would mitigate that problem and increase the towing capacity, so I wonder why BRP overlooks this obvious improvement. Speaking of that, I spot some design defects in this model. BRP would be well-advised to solicit feedback before designs go into production.

We had a sled once. Now though, I can’t justify spending that much $$$ for something that will get so little use.
