I've been using mine for a while. I think I had the first ones in the US. Amazing DAC and Power Supply. Glad someone else is singing the Gold Note praises as well! Really amazing pieces here!
Awesome review! I had the gold note ph-10/psu phono & power supply for about a year. Ended up going with a tube phono instead but it was a very solid product with great build quality.
This baby is the type of gadget I feel like I need to become a better person in order to deserve. Elegance, style, musicality, details, dynamics and adaptability...THE QUAN😉 I don't know if the review is better then the device or the other way around, but someone did A GREAT JOB. LOVED THIS REVIEW, MAN! More like it and the happy beer can flow in an ocean of senses.
Fantastic review 👍🏻of a cool product. I borrowed a DS-1000 mkII from my dealer at the end of 2019 it was beautiful to the eyes on the ears.... But I just found the user interface so unintuitive slow in response at times and that alone ruined the experience.... I think some improvements may have been made with this newer (less expensive) offering..... Off to read your full review now....
I hope they will be making a successor to the DS-1000, they need one for their 1000 line. DS-10 Plus was lightning quick and that GN Control app worked flawless for me.
Hello Thanks for the impressive review. I am interested in purchasing the DS10 PLUS, it is very important for me to work with an external hard drive connected to the USB-A input Do you know how much TB can be plugged into it to work properly. I would love to receive your answer.
Anyone compare this to Denafrips Pontus II or Terminator II etc? Have an RME now but find myself just wanting to listen to vinyl only. Looking for something more analogue sounding but not at the expense of detail etc.
Whe you do the Singxer SA-1 review can you touch on the relatively low volume with the Arya even on high gain…something fishy with the rated power output.
Of course I will and I agree with you, it doesn't seem that powerful to me either. I'm maxed out with LCD-4 and almost maxed out with Arya...Sounds good when it fully drives your headphones, but it definitely doesn't have that much power
An acoustic treatment will happen later this this year after some proper measurements. You can certainly place them further apart, with just one minor caveat: each speaker weights around 55 Kg (~121 lbs), you will need some help moving them around
Holo May will sound better, no doubt about that, but DS-10 is sooo much more...It shouldn't be judged as a DAC only unit, that is like 25% of what it can do. It works great as all of those things combined. As for Mojo Audio creations, we aren't living in 1999 anymore...Seriously now, very outdated tech. They asked me to review their latest DAC last year, I kindly refused..

If I had that kind of money I would rather choose and go for beautifull made gear ( mostly Japanese)...and more, I build sometimes myself WITHOUT those commercial inplications/limitations even in this kind of high priced components. The more complexity the more a perfect but un-natural sound .......rather HIFI than real music...every components extracts from the music signal and leaves its sonic imprint on the music....complex processing is even worse , it fakes the perfect sound but it is like processed food........the taste of the real is GONE......... At last I bought a PSU-10 Evo for my DS-10 Plus. It really transforms the dac. Its crazy! :)
Hi… would you say the the goldnotes is in the warm side of neutral camp based on your experience with other comparable streamer/dacs. Thanks.
Guess I'll go make some money or something...CAUSE I WANT THIS BABY! GREAT presentation and review.👍
These look so good
Duh ;)
Great review!
Thanks!
Nice setup. Are you still satisfied with the Giglio? Is the Vasari holding it back in your view? 5 arm or 7 arm?
Fantastic review 👍🏻of a cool product.

Hi...do you recommend Arya with DS-10? Or you suggest for another option.
Excellent review! How does the Gustard R26 sound compared to the Gold Note DS-10 Plus WITHOUT the Power Supply?

for $3699 + $1700 for PSU (total $5400) - I would get the Holo May or A Mojo Mystique R2R certainly

He's far from perfect, tell me something I don't know :)
