Truly one of the most stunning of Irish traditional singers. In fact I would bet Mary Dillon could sing the phone book and amaze an audience with the quality and delivery she affords any song she sings. An artist to treasure for all time.
Raised in Ballyronan now in Canada and I find this great singer and I just listened to Green fields of Canada. Although I have been gone for 65 years it made me home sick. I guess you just don't forget Ireland
Hi Mary, i felled in love with your voice since i saw you with Deante back in 1989 at the Ballyshannon Folkfestival!! Great that you are back on stage!!! Hubert from Austria www.hubertdohr.com
Ye lovers all both great and small, of learning you've had your share, Your genius bright help me to write the praises of a comely fair, Your poet's mind with me combine, assist me and lend your aid, Your voices raise, help me to praise my comely Ballyronan maid. One evening bright by the moonlight I went my darling to see, I being dressed all in my best I thus addressed this comely she, Says I, 'fair maid if you'll consent, we'll join our hands in wedlock state, If you'll prove so kind to ease my mind my comely Ballyronan maid.' She says, 'young man I must refuse as single life I quite enjoy, My heart's content, I pay no rent and marriage do quite deny,' 'Then if you won't marry me and you're sure I cannot you persuade, I'll take my leave no more to see my comely Ballyronan maid.' She says, 'young man I pray be calm, those words I spoke were only in jest, Since I have proved you pure and true, since I have put you to the test, In wedlock bands we'll join our hands, our happiness won't be delayed,' The time is nigh when I'll enjoy my comely Ballyronan maid.

Love listening to Mary sing, beautiful voice from a beautiful woman. Would love to hear her in concert here in America.
What an amazing voice. A gift to us. Thank you Mary.
Nobody tops Mary Dillon ;
Absolutely beautiful.
You don't hear a delicate vocal like that everyday! Just wow
She should be known by more people
Gah! Why'd they have to cut it short?! This is the most beautiful version I've ever heard. So terribly heartfelt.
